I don't follow these financial things too close -- way too complicated for my limited resources -- but one thing I DO know is that if it's reported on TV, it's bullshit.
I can't help thinking this whole story is a plant by Goldman Sachs to cover up their role in collapsing Lehman and in bringing about Armageddon

This story is nothing but a distraction to confuse the angry peasants and divert them down the wrong trail.
What Lehman was involved with may be criminal but is NOTHING compared to the global fraud on a never-seen-before scale committed by Goldman-Sachs.
Goldman-Sachs has been the head honcho and mastermind behind the almost $2 QUADRILLION (32 years of global GDP) in derivatives/securitizations (that have no real value!) used to build the current massive debts of the US and the European countries and countless other countries around the world.
These SAME DERIVATIVES are hiding in the government and corporate pensions and 401k's of your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, acquaintenances and most likely your own retirement accounts. Less than 30-40% of these derivatives have crashed.
Remember back in 2008 when 40%+ of people's retirements EVAPORATED? Well, get ready for round two just up ahead. And this one is gonna be bigger. And this time the economies of the US, the European Union and Japan plus other countries are going down too. Hard. And everything looks like it will happen within 12-18 months.
This story about Lehman is just a distraction. Petty criminal action being exposed to take pressure off the real crime bosses (Goldman-Sachs, et al). Petty cash compared to the stealing of everybody's retirements and bringing down every economy in the West plus the dollar-based Asian tigers.

JPMorgan....both have been in the driver's seat with our Federal Reserve, and the United States Government for decades.
The sad thing....
The sad thing about the fraud of Goldman-Sachs is that their fraud was made legal back in the early 1990's. They can just claim bad judgement and say, "Well, it's legal... ask Congress".
The only thing that will be able to bring justice to them is a real revolution and peasants with pitchforks.
I am in constant amazement how the average person cannot see the great crime and direct theft that has been committed against them. They will only realize it when they and their families are literally starving in a tent in the woods outside some city reminiscing about the mcmansion they were kicked out of and living in a few months prior.
