I have had it with this crap. You are using your MOD power to censor FACT! I thought the DP was about sharing truth to help find solutions.
It is fine you like A.J that is your right to be a blind follower, stop censoring the truth about him. Let people sort through the facts and come to their own conclusion. You can't argue with the truth.

Roughly 100 users and 300 guests on the DP at any given time, comes out to roughly 1 person on the DP per every 1 million people in the country.
It's just an internet site to focus on information related to liberty...it's not the center of the world or anything. Censorship seems kind of arrogant and grand-delusional, in the scheme of things.
That said, I think it's quite possible that AJ serves a role similar to what is described in the thread called, "Israel did 9/11" floating around on the active forum topics.
It's worth considering, at least.

Incidentally I was talking to a friend last night
and we agree on most things politically and he brought up the subject of the DP because he occasionally gets linked to the site. My friend's an objectivist and his words, not mine, were that he was "very concerned" with all the conspiracy stuff he saw. It was pretty clear it bothered him insofar as he wouldn't feel comfortable patronizing the site regularly if the main focus was conspiracies.
Another friend of mine (an anarchist, and smarter than me) recently told me he feels Ron Paul has been an "extremely mixed blessing" for the liberty movement. I would disagree, but one of his main points was that he felt the conspiracy movement was co-opting the liberty movement, and consequently has increasingly viewed the movement as anti-intellectual with unsavory figures in it. I don't even know if he knows of the DP, but in all honesty I would be quite hesitant to introduce it to him cuz I know it would just piss him off even more.
So my point is I would say rhino is correct when he says the DP limits its appeal to some extent, based on my personal experiences.

We are granting every wish of tons of the 9/11 truth people in the Daily Paul at the expense of scaring away close to everyone who isn't into that.
A movement made mostly 9/11 truthers isn't big enough to change the country. If we could emphasize the discussion about Ron Paul republicans and issues closely related, while putting the 9/11 stuff somewhere in the site that is NOT "Active forum topics", maybe the Daily Paul will become an even more positive asset to the liberty movement.
The truthers have effectively taken over. Often there are more 9/11 active topics than there are topics about liberty candidates, even in days full of news about liberty candidates.
Then how about instead of complaining
you talk about candidates and not sit here and attempt division. You don't stand for truth it seems. How sad.

In the market people can also persuade the owner to focus on discussions related more directly to Dr. Paul. That's what I'm trying to do. If Nystrom disagrees, fine, but as long as he doesn't ask me to stop making suggestion, I'll do it. That's consistent with the market.

and they tend to be older people.. you know how it is try to sway babyboomers.. they won't budge or give an inch for whatever logical reason you might have. c4l crowd is more interested in constitutional discussions, and there are frequently people with masters and doctorate degrees there, as well as tom woods and other well known people joining in on the discussions occasionally. but the traffic is not as high as we can imagine that people who have serious things going on in real life will naturally do just that--spend most of their time offline, although they still support liberty.

If you know anyone that is "right 51 percent" of the time then it makes sense that that person could invest on "Wall Street" or go to "Las Vegas" and no matter how small an investment they start with, they would be able to turn their investment into a million dollars right".

It is only logical they would make more.
Even tho no one is perfect in my opinion "I still trust Ron Paul", "I still trust (as in trust) Alex Jones" and I still believe the government is too big and powerful.
