War Casualties

Casualty: someone injured or killed or captured or missing in a military engagement.

The number of Casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan seem low compared to wars like WWII, Vietnam, The Civil War, etc. It doesn't sound so low when you list the number of casualties in the traditional manner, according to the definition: Wounded and Dead.

Over 31,000 wounded
Over 4,000 dead

That's 35,000 casualties. I think it is irresponsible of our media and politicians to report casualties as only dead. It skews our frame of reference.

I could not agree more.

This is a HUGE problem. Many of the 31,000 have sustained horrible battle field injuries that would have died years ago but now must live with server injures that you likely CANNOT imagine.

And the FILTH that calls themselves media say NOTHING.
