Yeah, interesting
So the Germans want to use their gold to backstop loans to Greece?!? Well, that would be an interesting development were it to occur. Only a stupendous fool would propose something like that. Papering the world over with fiat stupidity money is one thing but putting gold up as collateral for loans to a reckless foreign government is being stupid about real power. There must be much more to this story than the article goes into.
