Unlike the real census, this is conducted yearly AFAIK. This is blatantly unconstitutional, as the Constitution calls for a census every 10 years:

Article 1, Section 2:

[An] Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.

Also, even the half-dozen questions you listed above include questions which have nothing to do with a constitutional census (such as what race you are).

It's not about being paranoid. It's about one party to a contract (the Federal govt.) taking a mile for every inch that's given to them by the other party (the States, or the People).

People have to answer these questions?

The Germans and Belgians did a census once.

Now how exactly does this information help in getting a head count? My only answer on the census is in the blue box...number of people living here. The rest is none of their damn business.

Need I remind you all that Census information was used to round up the Japanese and put them in internment camps during WWII? My Grandparents lived in one of their homes while my Grandpa worked in ship yards in San Fransisco during the war...so I consider the pretty blue paper telling me how confidential my information is, to be a complete joke.

So, now why exactly in a country where we have to wonder about being rounded up for being belligerents or any other name they want to call us..would we worry about a little thing like an overly intrusive census?
