Rand Paul is losing the fundraising battle

with his establishment-endorsed opponent Trey Grayson according to a claim in Congressional Quarterly:

It says that Grayson surpassed $2 million last month. Paul finally topped $2 million yesterday evening, Mar. 15.

Grayson could yet win the primary. It might be something as silly as pinning the Duke label on Paul during March Madness. (Both Kentucky and arch-rival Duke are top seeds in the college basketball playoffs. Rand is a Duke graduate.) What if 7% of Paul leaners decided they had to switch sides based on team loyalty? Suddenly the race would be a tossup and Grayson would have more advertising dollars to spend.

The March 23 money bomb for Rand has got to be a whopping success. We can't afford to have come this far and fall flat on our face ahead of the finish line.

BTW, here's Grayson's ad:

All he's GATA do is wave the flag a little harder

maybe give the army, navy and marines equal time (to the airforce) on his website.

Rand is not losing anything.

Rand is not losing anything. He is 15 plus points ahead in every poll thus far. Trey is all but finished no matter what ads he runs now.

Rand has lots of cash on hand and if he wins his primary rest assured his coffers will be filled quickly.

Many more liberty candidates need cash and are moving up in their own polls. They need help right now with funds Rand doesn't.

Relax!

Do NOT get complacent...

this race isn't over yet. We need to make this money bomb count. Trey Grayson will probably spend the rest of his money on non-stop vicious attack ads. While Rand has the current advantage, he is going to need more money, as he has raised less and probably has less on hand than Grayson. Rand can win, so let's NOT turn our backs on him now. Make sure you donate on March 23, to put Rand over the top on May 18. This should be our goal.

I think you are right, that

I think you are right, that Grayson probably will spend a ton of money on attack ads against Rand. Maybe Grayson will feel like, if he's going to lose, he'll try to hurt Rand as much as he can with attack ads before the race ends.
We can't get overconfident about him having the race in the bag yet.
