My hubby found a book called "The Four Hour Work Week"

I personally do not believe that most people can work a 4-hour work week and can live the lives they really want to live. Have any of you read this book? I have, and I think it is unrealistic. I hope some of you will read it, and do what it suggests, and prove me wrong. I think it is another way for an author to sell his book, and mislead those that have no other means to be rich, and it is false, and misleading, what do you all think?

I took his advice on a personal assistant--even used the web site he suggested--and got literally ripped off for $500! I'm not joking. I don't blame the book or the web site though because it was ultimately my poor decision to hire the assistant. Anyway, just telling you what happened to me....

I have the book.

I started to read it, but "work" got in the way.

This life style may be possible for some. Of course it requires being an enumerated slave who complies with tax laws not written for them.

I think the whole part about "personal assistants" outsourced to India or such is garbage. I made my life simpler. I can't fathom needing a "personal assistant."

He does have some good points to make though. Rationing your internet and e-mail time are winners. Setting auto replies, reading everything only once or twice a day, etc.

He has some decent time management techniques, but overall, I don't think his plan is doable for everyone. (after all, if everyone did it, who would he "outsource" his life to?)

Write a get rich quick scheme during a bad economy

Open a PO box, that is 2 hours away, one way.

That's not it, is it?

:)

Actually, is there a link to the book, or do you have to buy it?
