"Recognizing the threat, a well-connected former aide to Vice President Dick Cheney convened a conference call last week between Grayson and a group of leading national security conservatives to sound the alarm about Paul.
“On foreign policy, [global war on terror], Gitmo, Afghanistan, Rand Paul is NOT one of us,” Cesar Conda wrote in an e-mail to figures such as Liz Cheney, William Kristol, Robert Kagan, Dan Senor and Marc Thiessen.
With an attached memo on Paul’s noninterventionist positions, Conda concluded: “It is our hope that you can help us get the word out about Rand Paul’s troubling and dangerous views on foreign policy.”
In an interview, Conda noted that Paul once advocated for closing down the detention center at Guantanamo Bay and sending some suspected terrorists to the front lines in Afghanistan."

We're up against ...
the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Dick Cheney has been a member of this organization for many years. It really is no surprise that CFR members are opposing Rand Paul's candidacy, since the election of a true constitutionalist to the US Senate would hamper their agenda. Rand would challenge all of their power grab attempts, as well as opposing their continued waste of taxpayers' dollars. The fact that Trey Grayson gets backing from people in this organization should be enough to convince others to not support him, since they don't have America's best interests in mind.

There are two things we here in Kentucky need now more than ever.
1. Rand needs prayer cover every day for the next two months!!
I promise you he is busting his tail and the volunteers he has on the ground are working as hard as they can. Rand needs a dedicated corps of Prayer Warriors who will dedicate themselves to beseeching our Creator for His Providence. This, above all else, will be what delivers Rand to victory.
2. If you can get here we need BOOTS ON THE GROUND walking door to door for Rand, particularly in Louisville and Lexington. These area contain the most number of registered Republican voters and they need to be contacted face to face.

Nonetheless, there is a problem with going to Kentucky to volunteer. I think organizing and doing the runnings tasks are a great idea. But, we need to be very careful and let the face to face be Kentuckians. Paul is already getting slammed for his monetary support coming from outside the state (not that I have a problem with that and I am donating Tuesday). Trust me, if news outlets got wind that the door-to-door campaigning was being done by Iowans or Missourians, there could be a huge backlash, especially with the "old guard" GOP-cultists.

I think you brought up a good point. I've heard that in many places in Kentucky, they have a noticeable country accent(perhaps not as much in the big cities like louisville). It's probably pretty easy for them to detect an out-of-towner just by the way they speak.
I think going around an putting up signs would be ok because then you're usually not talking to people, but the door to door thing may not be a good idea, unless perhaps you've lived in Kentucky in the past or know someone who does, and know how to speak the accent(without overdoing it or messing it up and sounding fake). We don't want to make it seem like Rand is getting all his support from out-of-staters.
Trey is already trying to portray Rand as an outsider who gets his support from outside Kentucky.
