Idaho First to Sign Law Against Obamacare

0 votes

BOISE, Idaho – Idaho took the lead in a growing, nationwide fight against health care overhaul Wednesday when its governor became the first to sign a measure requiring the state attorney general to sue the federal government if residents are forced to buy health insurance.

Similar legislation is pending in 37 other states...

And what State Militia is going to back up any rebellion against

the usurped power of the federal government over us.

Hell, most States just cave in and do not even bother to pretend to defend themselves. We hardly have State representatives who are anything but collectivist themselves.

Before anyone starts packing...

Understand there is a lot of heat here, but I don't see any fire. I see politicians saying what they must and making big symbolic gestures to make sure they get re-elected, so they can carry on with the same old same old. And worst of all, I see the "awake" people thinking they managed to wake up these Jesuits / Masons with bankster-family linked wives... It is sad. I know no one likes to hear "conspiracy theories" but Butch Otter and Larry Craig and Jim Risch know EXACTLY what is going on and who owns them. They also know they had to douse the fire that was started here - and they did. The FIRST thing the Ron Paul folks did was shut them down about WAR, WAR, WAR at the state convention. We were oh, so polite, until they beat the war drum. Then we would not clap, we stared at them coldly, until they STOPPED talking about war by the last day. THAT was a victory. Now they have the RP folks all shut down on peace - compromises must be made, you know.
The second thing we did was pass a resolution demanding SOUND CURRENCY in this state. That has gone no where, and it never will. Everyone backed off the topic, won't talk about it, won't hold their politicians to account for it. Why? Because they are cutting deals with them to pass THIS kind of garbage. SO WHAT if Larry Wasden sues on my behalf? MY MONEY WILL BE GONE ALREADY.
This is NO VICTORY, and frankly, we are looking to leave Idaho. It is FIRMLY under the control of the establishment GOP.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

Yep agree just window

Yep agree just window dressing for the most part. They are also trying to pass a gold and silver bill along with a firearms freedom act (which I wrote last year but they gutted) etc. but it's all just window dressing.

The only good I see coming from any of it is it helps wake people up to some degree that we have serious problems but probably too little too late.

As far as moving nowhere else is any better it's the same chit where ever you might go as far as the political climate. However if you can find a pocket of like minded folks somewhere it might be worth while. easier said then done

People are too ideologically, religious, or dogma motivated in my experience. I hate to say it but I think unfortunately we need some sort of major upheavel. However I am not looking forward too it. I would just like to be left alone and live among folks who respect my rights and don't try and oppress me under color of some false authority but I am not sure such a place exists nor is there a group of people willing to come together and create such a place.

Sadly, your are right.

And I think most of the members on Daily Paul are aware of this.
Last time I saw my 2nd District congressman speak at a public meeting, he held up a pocket Constitution and proclaimed that we need to get back to Constitutional government!
This is the same guy who co-sponsored a bill with Senator Wyden to increase the wilderness in the state of Oregon, and he is PROUD that he voted for the Health Safety Act, which puts our food and supplements and farms and ranches under world health organization control and standards.
Actually I can't think of anywhere to move to get away from this nightmare, can you?

Blah Blah Blah

I see where the Federal Government can bring a lawsuit against a State and a State may sue another State but doesn't a State need the "permission" of the Federal Government in order to sue?

I live in Boise, mostly this makes me feel like the establishment Republicans are trying to suck up to the movement. This is typical MO of career politicians.

true but it's pulling them in

true but it's pulling them in the right direction. Most Politicians will go where the wind blows.

Way to go Idaho!

RON PAUL 2012

They're trying to pass

They're trying to pass legislation like this here in Virginia, too. It might be my only hope to keep my high deductible health insurance.

All right! Concrete action to stop

the federal leviathan.

This is great news! Idaho may be the place to move to!

I am pretty settled here, but if I was footloose--I would move to IDAHO!
