Anyone receive your Census form yet?

Notice the ® (Registered Trademark) indication next to United States Census 2010 everywhere on the form and enclosed "letter?"

Perhaps maybe it is nothing sinister, and merely the registering of the "logo" since it only appears where the logo does and not in any plain text.

However, I did notice it to be very odd that the return address is not in the District of Columbia, but rather Phoenix, AZ. Is this "2010 Census Data Capture Center" you are mailing this to a part of the government?

Why, if you did not have a post-paid return envelope, are you instructed to mail the form to a different address, this one also not in the District of Columbia, and not even anywhere near Phoenix, but rather Jeffersonville, IN?? (Listed as the U.S. Census Bureau National Processing Center)

What is the function and purpose of the "Data Capture Center" distinct from the "National Processing Center" and why is neither of them in D.C.?

Anyway, I answered only question 1 and 2. I really didn't have to answer #2 I guess, but I thought I'd be nice, so they wouldn't be concerned with double counts. (though I can't see how that would be possible since I only indicated ONE person lived at this address)

I'm going to enclose the sample letter I found on Lew Rockwell with the form explaining my justification based on a prior U.S. Supreme Court decision pretty much saying I have no obligation to answer ANY questions. (even from the Census Bureau) I might even mail it to the Census Bureau in D.C. just for the hell of it. (Since really that is where it should be going) I'm sure they'll be willing to accept it.

As for your second question, who knows. Possibly one location organizes the data and the other location processes the organized data.
