Magaret Thatcher

I hope you all understand that I'm not advocating the following or prescriptions of Margaret Thatcher -- the notion of individualism is still being "worked out" even on the Daily Paul.
For what it's worth a fine speech.

As poq asked below, yes there is a point to posting this.
Hopefully I've posted enough that many of you understand where I'm coming from

Here is another...
Thatcher video which I enjoyed. If I remember correctly, Hayek had some influence on her through his writings.

W had some good speeches too...
Are you trying to say, look she's not so bad, even people like her have good intentions but they don't always work out? Or are you pointing out her failure to walk the talk, as Ron indirectly points out when he mentions Bush's 2000 campaign speeches.
Yes she said some nice words but taken in the context of her actions taken while in office, they seem a little hollow.
In other words, what was the purpose of posting this video? Just curious, really.
Exaaaactly: "who cares what a politician says their actions
will always run contrary to it;" because for there to be a politician there must be an abdicating voter or lobbyist nearby.
*&^ Constitution --- Constitutional Rationality
Aaaaaalways?
Granted it is the tendency that the actions of quite a few politicians run contrary to their words, but always is an incorrect absolute.
Sure -- Poq
I've proven myself on this site to not understand absolutism.
I was being lazy and didn't throw in enough caveats.
#1 Politicians always lie
---as often as their oath is broken, regardless the promises they make on the campaign stump.
#2 Voting and Lobbying is always an abdication of self-rule, self-defense, and self-health.
---Unless a politician returns your vote and lobby with self-rule, self-defense, and self-health; instead of just promises.
Only Ron Paul is free from #1
No politician is free from #2
People don't lobby/vote for individualism; they vote to make things "right" (which is impossible) -- so it is perpetual war and politicians must be perpetual oath-breakers (save those rare moments when they are not); regardless self-rule is never returned.
Sometimes generalizations (if you know the author) are acceptible short-cuts.
*&^ Constitution --- Constitutional Rationality
So true, poq.
Never say never - never say always!
