Jefferson vs. Obama

I love these so if you could humor me. Hypothetically, Who do you think would win if both could run for the 2012 election Thomas Jefferson or Barrack Obama and why?

It's a funny question, so a funny answer is ussually called for. However in this case, the serious answer will be given.. and it would be funny if it weren't so sad.

It depends on one factor above all others:
Is this Jefferson resurrected before the people's eyes and they know who he is?

If they do, then Jefferson might barely squeak by with a win, maybe. That is, he could perhaps win based on his reputation alone so long as he keeps his mouth shut... except of course for renouncing and apologizing profusely for being a former slave owner 200 years ago.

If they don't know who he is, then Obama win's in a landslide... How do I know? Easy, we had someone in the last election cycle who stood for almost the exact same political philosophy and he couldn't even get 10% of the total Republican primary vote. What makes us think Jefferson could do any better with our gullible electorate?

Jefferson would hang himself after about an hour in the country we have let go to waste.
