Dept. of Motor Vehicles employee caught taking bribes

We all know that licenses are government permission slips to do things -- live our lives. From a license to practice medicine, practice law, open a business, dispense medicine, whatever the case/ occupation may be. It has also been established that a license converts an illegal activity into a legal 1, by the presence of a government permission slip. But isn't a license, by virtue of having gov't permission & the payment of a fee, really legally bribing a government employee for permission to do something, for them to look the other way when you're caught in the illegal activity b/c you have written permission?

Once the permission fee/ tax/ license fee is paid, whatever you want to call it, the police, or enforcement of the law look the other way when you're caught doing something. Business licenses are conspicuously posted so as soon as the police see them, no enforcement action on that end needs to take place, when you're stopped driving your car, when the license/ registration are presented, that part of it is taken care of, they look the other way at your illegal act of driving a car since you've bribed a gov't employee & they've given you a permission slip, not only for you to drive, but for you to have the car in the 1st place.

Let's think about this the next time we apply for a license to do anything. It is true that the payment of income taxes each year is a stay out of jail fee & you must consider, do you want to be harassed or do you want to pay a fee to avoid being harassed/ stay out of jail, but everytime you pay the fee & validate what the gov't has done, it makes it that much more difficult to get your freedom back b/c you have condoned, not complained about what the gov't has done & incrementally, they take more & more away
