Also, I know there has been reverse racism and no one I know likes affirmative action; but Pat's commentary and whinning about it is way over the top. I stopped subscribing when the racial tinge got stronger and stronger the more it looked like Barack would win.
I'm an individualist FIRST -- but I'm Creole too and I love my heritage and people. I can only go so far with a man on racial issues before I have to choose a camp.

I agree with you that there is a racist element to his writing, but at the same time he has a lot of credibility with some Republicans and can be a vaauable tool in reaching them. Remember that many Republicans ARE racist, if not against African Americans or Hispanics then certainly against Arabs.

I am a believer, and I don't see the present state of Israel as having any more validity with God (and believe me, I read the Bible ALL the time and study both testaments daily)--
than any other 'people'--
God is no respecter of persons--
the prophecies in Revelation and other places are there, because God DOES know what is going to happen and warns any who will listen.
He does not command that babies be killed--
and He doesn't "love" the Zionist leaders of the "Jewish" state of Israel any more than the Jews who live in Iran and have been silenced, because they speak out against Zionism.
Those of us who sat in Sunday School classes and listened to bible stories and waxed romantic about the return of the Jews to Israel--
have 'bought' the wrong "merchandise".
Back then, in our innocence, we listened to too many 'political opinions' about "Israel" and read too little of the applicable Bible verses!
Righteous Jews everywhere are concerned, because *they* can see happening in the middle east (especially with the rogue state that embarrasses them) what *we* here in America see happening to this land of 'promise'.

One of the flaws that comes with being a "melting pot" is that we don't know who we are or where we stand. We're so confused, we can't even put ourselves first when our best interests are obvious.
