It's simple.
The American politicians don't represent the American people.
The Israeli politicians don't represent the Jewish people.
The Catholic priests that molest little boys don't represent the Catholic people.

English is used as a Lingua Franca
and even though Ahmadinejad is Jewish he probably does not speak Hebrew, and the good rabbis, even though living amongst Arabic speakers, probably don't know Farsi. But it's just a guess on my part, so mysterious that I do not think anyone will be able to come to the truth on why english is used.

I also find it strange that it would be in English, instead of Finnish, Mandarin or Frisian. But english is such a little used language that most people of the world won't be able to hear what they are saying now, because they translated in, what was it now? oh yes, english. What were they thinking? Also I know it must have been a trick that the rabbis also spoke in English, and that they said they were from New York! Who is gullible enough to believe that???!!! It is another trick, and I bet they censored out their "9-11 was an inside job" chant, which certainly would have given them away. Thanks to you, Rhino, for always sticking to interesting facts. :)

I don't think appealing to progressives means you have to lower yourself to giving a false impression that you agree with someone's stereotyping and accusations of racism and bigotry if you do not agree with those things.

unfortunately, *trolls* have done their damage--
the overwhelming response from conservative and reformed and secular Jews (who are considered more 'mainstream) against Israeli actions in Gaza a year or more ago--
that flooded the internet--
have disappeared.
As much as I admire Rabbi Weiss and his colleagues (who do join with Muslims for protests)--
he and his colleagues have been marginalized much as have *we* on DP who question.
Let's see which words are used more; I don't know: "fringe", "kook", "extreme"--
MSM and people like "Rhino" have managed to invalidate people who have the courage to speak out--
or silence them.
Those of us who care about the truth must keep trying and try not to let these people get us down.

I have also posted many times lists with links to groups that are Jewish and Christian alike that are against the current policies/agenda of the Israeli Government and the relationship of US/Israel. They see these policies as harmful to Israel and I agree.
I have also posted many many times articles and lectures by prominent Jewish leaders and spokespersons that are trying to have thier voices heard and like you, I equate those voices to our own here that try to speak out against the pro war neocons! They... the moderate Israeli and American Jews and those of us that try to educate on the issue are being blacked out in our media and they in theirs!
It is a matter of educating against the massive propaganda that most are fed. The censorship on this is unbelieveable!! I consider myself pro Israel because I feel that true friends of Israel are those that help point out when a friend is too drunk to drive and heading for a cliff! Those that try to suppress the voices for peace and instead advocate for the aggressive, worldwide condemned policies of the current gov't in Israel in order to fullfill thier fantasies of Armageddon are NOT pro Israel in my opinion and THEY are the advocates of racism and bigotry!
I posted a good Fox News/ Rabbi Weiss Video further down on this thread as well as several other comments.

Have you heard of Abuna Elias Chacour?
He and his family lived in Palestine pre-1948 and he still lives there and has devoted his life to help Muslims and Christians live and survive in Israel. He has the most wonderful book Blood Brothers which tells so much of the Zionist movement and the truth of what happened and happens in Israel/Palestine. wow, I thought I had seen them all--
but this was one I hadn't seen; he had been interviewed by the same person on another occasion, I believe.
I didn't like how the interviewer cut him off and 'spoke for him'--
not quite patronizing, but close--
Rabbi Weiss, like Ron Paul, is not easily eclipsed and patiently continues to drive home his points.
Towards the end, though, I felt that this interviewer was, again, marginalizing Weiss and the Jews United Against Zion.
