So I came across this interesting post earlier on today
"The Military KNOWS Israel did 911" and I wanted to read it again, so I put it in the search function but I get this message.

Michael Nystrom owns this site. Just as is true of your house, he has the right to decide what appears on his site. Other sites have different rules, and I would suspect that some that post the kind of material you are looking for would have restrictions of their own.

This is the first time I've heard this very bizarre argument. A restaurant, a bar, a cafe, a concert hall all have open doors, extra chairs and parking spaces. Does this negate the right of the private property owner to enforce rules about how his property is used or enjoyed?
I am truly puzzled by this logic. It makes no sense.
And as far as I know, there are no beds at the Daily Paul, but there are in hotels. Because a place has beds, the rules of private property no longer apply?

Yes, you were and are mistaken, but you could have avoided that if you had read the email you agreed to when you signed up, part of which is quoted below:

for one's own rashness, one might react by putting one's censoring efforts into overdrive on one's private property website. And that is one's right.
Of course, there will be voluntary participants who will get an unpleasant feeling watching threads disappear at an alarming rate and trying to figure out which topics or responses are now contraband.
In which case one might call them asses or poorly educated or some other pejorative term and tell them to get lost if they don't like it since it is, indeed, one's private property. Or one's moderators might declare "How dare they say such a thing! They should be banned for life!" And many who are uncomfortable will take such insults to heart, even when they have not been directed specifically at them. And some will slowly or suddenly depart as you suggest.

I admire your assertiveness in establishing boundaries, and I think most people could be respectful of them if they were made clear.
There was a time when the DP was a free-for-all of posts, and if it's changing to something more limited in scope, that's all well and good.
On the relevance of the topic of Israeli influence in our nation's "war against terror" to Ron Paul's message of liberty, I think it fits into the idea of "friendship with many, entangling alliances with none."
Denying Israel's influence in our "war against terror" is a serious flaw in one's understanding of the world.

except I don't think you know what the deleted post was about, and you're complaining about it. I have reviewed it, and while I personally did not pull the thread, I would have, and I stand behind legalizeliberty's decision.
There are plenty of posts on the DP about Israel and the US relationship with it. However, inappropriate posts - regardless of subject matter - will be pulled.
There was a time when the DP was a free-for-all of posts.
That may have been your perception of the DP, but that perception is inconsistent with reality. I never allowed pictures of naked ladies, posts on pornography, the avocation of violence, or racist / hate speech of any kind, for example.

I think they're pretty clear. The post in question is by a poster called "The 800 Pound Gorilla" - who keeps coming back in various incarnations after being banned to post the same old tired crap to incite threads such as this.
I can assure you there is no confusion on his party. He's playing a little game. He knows the rules.

Some 2 hour troll just dragged bait across the trail a short while ago, and you went bounding off into the swamp just because you were panting to post your hilarious hysterics video I already plugged here. The mods were perhaps right to pull that duplicate, duplicitous and antagonizingly divisive thread before it became entangled with valid content. This hunt needs the alert help of the DP old dogs to stay on the trail. The beasts of prey we are dogging count on our short attention spans and lack of historic recollection. I understand I am 'the anti-semite' now, ok fine with me. I REALLY thought this was worth posting, not because I wanted to stirr up hatred towards anyone, but because 9/11 is still an unresolved issue and discussion on this matter is therefore still necessarry. That includes the possibility of zionist involvement, which is (by the way) not that far fetched at all when you look at the facts surrounding this event.
Having said that, I didn't want to bring up controvesy on DP, I regret that is apparantely the case. I know the subject is very sensitive and I should have thought about that a little bit more before posting this.
I believe in general the US - Israel relationship is a very important subject, especially at this point, and 9/11 DOES have a lot to do with that whether it be directly (involvement in the attacks itself) or indirectly (the political fall out of 9/11). This fact cannot be denied.
