Yes, We do have the Romney Plan and it's a disaster. There is nothing in it to curtail the cost of insurance. Premiums are still going up. We are just being forced to pay for it. Business's are cutting benefits. One of the good things about my job was not so much the pay but the benefits. We use to have four different plans to choose from. The cheep one of course had the most out of pocket insurance and higher co-pays but at least you could get something. It was six years ago that I dropped my Medical Insurance because my pay raise did not cover the increase in insurance. They allowed BC/BS to force out all the lesser plans. Of course the top paying jobs had a big enough salary to cover the most expensive plan so they went with it, screwing all us little guys. Get this we get funded by the state but they won't let us be part of the State employee Insurance Plan. Then last year the big wigs decided they wanted a better pension plan. The company would match what the employee could put into it. Most of us could not even afford to pay into a retirement fund. So what they did was cut our ET benefits and knock us down to a 35 hour week. When case managers left they never replaced them so all our case loads went up. We even had a Illness bank. We would accrue so many hours a pay period that went into this bank. If you got sick or had a family emergency you could use the illness bank. It took five years to get it to its maximum. In one sweep they just deleted that bank. Those hours just disappeared. Then we had an ET bank. You could earn up to 300 hours in that ET bank. In one sweep they cut the ET bank in half. They just deleted the hours in it. They never paid us the hours that we accrued. Since that was vacation and sick time I beleive it was illegal but they did it anyway. They are writing people up that cannot keep up with the case loads. If you get written up three times your gone. They are cheeting like hell on the programs that people on Mass Health get. They are auhtorizing people for Mass Health just to get the medicaid dollars. A few of us complained and ended up with higher case loads, and the most difficult cases. Our CEO sends emails around telling us when to call our legislators and telling us how to vote. This I believe is illegal. The corruption is from the top down. Here is the best one. I believe because I have two dependents I could get the Mass Health Insurance. They know I have no insurance so they tried to get me to go this insurance. I refused even though I qualify. I go to an Natropathic physician in New Hampshire and pay out of pocket when I get sick. I want to go back to the day when you could jsut buy catastrophic insurance and just pay out of pocket. I take no meds so I don't need drug coverage. I always hear what will happen if you need a medicaiton or you get really sick. I say I will probably get better or I will die. About two years ago we had an epidemic of gall bladder attacks me being one of them. Two people had theirs out. Guess who didn't. I used natural medicine. So far I have never had another attack. Now those other two are on prilosec, HBP, and statins forever because they don't have a gall bladder to break down fats. Thats what this health care has to offer us. Drugs, drugs and more drugs with all the side effects that go with them. What a tragedy.
