HR 4872 Reconciliation Bill
Passed 220 Yea to 211 Nay

Under the reconciliation bill, individuals who don’t purchase insurance would be subject to a fine of $325 in 2015 and $695 in 2016. Individuals may be subject to a charge equal to as much as 2.5 percent of their income in 2016, if the total is greater than the flat payment.

Employers with 50 or more workers would pay $2,000 per worker if they don’t offer health insurance. The legislation offers a small business tax credit to help pay for employer- provided premiums.

I have a question

for anyone that can answer it. I live in Massachusetts. I don't have any health insurance because I fall into the very small % who's income is to low to be mandated to buy it, and because the insrance that my job offers is way too expensive for my income. I don't qualify for the State Connector, because that is also too expensive according to the $$ guidelines. So here is my questions. What would stop me from purchasing out of State catastrophic insurance? I can't find anything in the law that says I can't.

Like many of you I hated this bill to no end and I still do. I have done some looking on vote smart and I found all the votes so we know whom voted for this and we should do everything we can to remove the people whom created this huge government oversight.

The REAL REASON behind the H.C. Control Bill

The REAL REASON is that the FEDERAL RESERVE elites, in cahoots with their accomplices in Congress, want all the baby-boomer's money. They need it. This bill gives the IRS the AUTHORITY to rummage and pillage Baby Boomer's IRA's & 410k's in an insidious way.

This is ALL ABOUT MONEY and CONTROL and the BANKERS' need more money and more control. In order to attain their worldly goals, they want to destroy the money base of the the remaining boomer's wealth. The more they take the more they destroy and the more they destroy the more they CONTROL and have the ability to stop the masses to gain TOTAL DOMINATION & RUIN.

This is their ultimate aim.

Indeed, they will use this bill to go after their political enemies, to target them, to destroy them in every way that they can.

Their ULTIMATE GOAL is to SILENCE THEIR POLITICAL ENEMIES.

That is "us", folks, our parents, our friends.

This bill is UNETHICAL in that BIG GOVERNMENT is forcing us to buy a house and pay for it for 4 years WITHOUT it being even built, not that anybody wants it!

Sooner or later, even the liberal masses will "get it", but it will be too late...

Lets see if he backs up his words with ACTION!

Attorney General Abbott: Texas and Other States Will Challenge Federal Health Care Legislation

Following the passage of the health care legislation, the Texas Attorney General provided the following statement:

"The federal health care legislation passed tonight violates the United States Constitution and unconstitutionally infringes upon Texans' individual liberties. To protect all Texans' constitutional rights, preserve the constitutional framework intended by our nation's founders, and defend our state from further infringement by the federal government, the State of Texas and other states will legally challenge the federal health care legislation."

It was going to happen eventually.

Another lost battle. I'm glad we fought it, though. We will be proven right over time. Unfortunately, this program will cost us in many ways.

Keep your heads up high, Patriots. The battle continues...

Ron Paul's powers of

Ron Paul's powers of prediction are impeccable and I am sure he will be proved correct about health care. What I expect to see is gradual deterioration as a huge and unaccountable system just grinds to a halt. Also because the government will be determined not to be seen to have failed they will increasingly throw money at the system to prop it up. So just watch for the costs to escalate. May be doctors and health workers will do well as they milk this particular cash cow.

Poor Romney.... poor lit'el boy...

Had to laugh this morning:) The Canadian news was weeping over the fact that the "great presidential candidate" (their words) Mutt Romney, would be hurt by this because his "Obama care of Massachusetts" is so similar and would be exposed by those who oppose what happened!

How true!

Mutt Rummey was to speak at some state conventions this year, including Washington State! How long will it take to find out if there will be signs waving, against the author of Obama care Massachusetts!! Of course Brown might also be speaking somewhere ... wasn't he co-author?

The new GOP has been labeled and stamped.

Time for www.GOOOH.com !

Sweep all the bums out, not just the ones who voted for this, but who voted for all the other measures so designed to destroy liberty and steal from the people. There are few greater crimes!

Howard Dean

was just on CNBC saying this bill was "essentially the same bill that Romney passed in Massachusetts."

I wrote an article on how well MassCare is doing for the citizens in Massachusetts. The situation there is "dire" and they've been cutting back for two years...

how is Ronmey care going to

how is Ronmey care going to be effected by this national care? seeing as how all MA residents are required to be covered in this state. Pretty much no one in mass will get national care? I was wondering why MA politicians that worked so hard to create this horrible Mass care, werent against national care, since it will take away from their business..

Good question...

I haven't read the bill yet, but from past readings, it won't take affect for a few years (while the government collects taxes in advance for it).

This would mean MassCare would still be plugging along in Massachusetts until the National program takes over the state program. If Howard Dean is right, then the people in Mass. won't be affected at all, just a change in the name of the plan from MassCare to USACare. At least that's how I see it.

Well, now we know every

Well, now we know every single criminal to vote out and kick to the curb! Bastards!

This is the time to spread the message!

The partisan tea partiers that love their GOP are about to be awakened to the fact that although the GOP stayed out of the health care fray they have no plans to correct anything in the bill. They may put on a good dog and pony show for the masses while convenient, but once in power they will ensure that they keep the same level of support for this bill that the Dems have. It’s about the power, and nothing more.

We might see the GOP strip out the union benefits once in power, but that is to cover the dems as they can say "we put it in, they took it out", so to balance the power in the bill without getting mud on ones face this may well be the only change made to the bill. Start letting the 9/12er Beckerheads know that this will prove once and for all that the GOP and the progressives are now one in the greedy little same, as we have been telling them they are. Tell them to beg the GOP to repeal this legislation and let them watch as the vultures circle the corpse of the U.S.A. and garner power and funds for themselves while leaving the bill very much in tact and robbing the American working class with glee.

You will now have the opportunity to tell the status quo partisans on the right "I told you so" as this is how a quasi two party system works when our leaders are engulfed in corruption and greed. Spread the word, and let’s see how our wonderful flag waving GOP grinds this bill to a halt, or quietly supports the new found powers over the people and the constitution. I predict the latter.

Touche!

Passage of this bill was a forgone conclusion; it had been ordained by thoses at the top.

Dare I say the boys who print the money had something to do with this?

Your conclusion is correct...

But now is the time to start showing the sheep where the slaughter house is. Not by attacking, but by pointing out that the GOP (now a shoe in this year and 2012) will make no effort to strip this bill. Once government is given power, it will never be let go, but it can be reformed a bit here and there. Let’s just hope they do not attempt to use reconciliation for gun control or our nations streets will run red at the hands of our military. Very troubling times indeed.

The one argument partisans will use is that the GOP attempted to delay this bill by challenging items within as policy changes and therefore reconciliation cannot be used. This is a simple speed bump, as the bill will pass as is and the constitution be damned as nothing more than an idea passed prior to the collapse. I sincerely hope that violence does not pop up due to this legislation until all other avenues have been exhausted, but I fear that the reality for the partisans will be too much to bear. We need them to be aware though, and to let them know that their GOP will do nothing to stop this bill, only covet it in the dark of night where no one can see. I never thought I would live to see legislation as bad as the patriot act, but I digress.

Ahh, the beauty of government in action

Hey, if all of you whiners don't like it simply run some candidates, get them elected, and they can then change the system from within. And if that doesn't work, you're all free to leave. After all, that's our system, and it's the GREATEST one on Earth!

Will any of you ever learn?

That was sarcasm

Sorry I didn't include you in the distribution list on the memo that advised everyone else that my preceeding post was entirely sarcastic.

And I like the grape old-school add your own sugar style kool-aid the best, just like all the people who believe that government can solve anything if only the right people are in office.

Govt. could screw up a damp nocturnal vision.

Total coverage?

Does the HCR law cover pets?

I have a sick JR, needs a stool test and some heart worm pills.

This is going to cost me big time. At least 80 to 100 bucks. Pills are 49 bucks for just 12 pills.

Isn't there anything we can do to alleviate these costs of mine and make others pay? Anyone want to be a pet insurance advocate?

Hello, isn't anyone listening to me?

Have a blessed day!

The night is far spent, the day is at hand.
And those who have not heard shall understand.

Hey I need critter

care too. Cmon Nancy you did say health care for everyone. Your a b**** and you get healthcare. Wel I have a 12 year old female dog amongst other pets that need medical care so cover them too. I pay taxes (dog license) for them so why not. They are tax paying citizens ! Thats more than some of the people we will be paying for health care for are. They actually help around the farm too.

Maybe if you got your pet a

Maybe if you got your pet a social security number and had it registered as a low-income dependent... then it would be showered with all of the miraculously free medical care your neighbors can scarcely afford.

"...THAT'S WHY THEY'RE HIRING 16,000 MORE IRS AGENTS."

"Because it's based on government THEFT"

Dr. Paul nailed it with THIS QUOTE.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

They're hiring more agents because the IRS is in charge

of tracking compliance on the health insurance purchase mandate. And they are in charge of where and when healthcare funds are spent. When I think of good healthcare, I think IRS. It's a match made in heaven. And the "liberals" aren't upset why?
