How do y'all feel about Paul Ryan? I have a mini crush.
(name changed to Paul Ryan)

Ron Paul - Ralph Nader
is the ticket I'd like to see, two grown-ups from either side wiping the floor with the empty suits on the stage. Let's face it, there aren't enough Libertarians to win an election, we'll need to pull from the principled left as well to be a threat and get an anti-establishment dynamic going. Nader has been on the right side of civil liberties, anti-war, anti-bailouts forever, and he's down with end the Fed now, too. I cannot imagine a more formidable duo in debates. Here is Ron and Ralph on Blitzer back in 2008.

BAILOUT PAUL...RYAN...is the LAST name!
believe he voted for TARP. Gives the same nauseating feeling as H.W. did in 1980. Just another spineless neocon, till he proves otherwise! If you want to be a leader, you need the record to prove it. Cannot believe Ron Paul would ever pick ryan as running mate
wrote him in in 2008, electing him in 2012.

Ron Paul should get out of Politics and get a National Radio
and T.V Hosting gig.
Make a boat load of money and have a 4-6 hour day platform to push liberty for a few more years.
He's done what he can and the rest is up to us.
His message needs to hit 20M per day like Glenn Beck's, save be a rational voice for liberty.
Right now RP averages what 20-60K on youtube views; most people I know never heard of him prior to 2007 and most of them only hear about him when I inform them.
Imagine his range -- he'd need a dynamic co-host; someone funny and intelligent enough to help RP t-ball every issue.
We'd make every show go viral.
*&^ Constitution --- Constitutional Rationality
Paul Ryan seems ok, but the
Paul Ryan seems ok, but the idea of him being Ron Paul's running mate does not excite me.
Now, Ron Paul & Judge Andrew Napolitano as VP does excite me!!!
...
Ron Paul would be a better
Ron Paul would be a better speaker of the House than he would a president
hope for the best
I doubt it. Speakers are all
I doubt it. Speakers are all about compromise.
Ventura 2012
Ron Paul is by far a much
Ron Paul is by far a much better option for us as President than any other potential candidate out there today. Ron Paul 2012!
...
All presidents have had to
All presidents have had to push the Constituition to and beond the limits. They are also subject to comprimise. Who would you like to real in the presidency if it over steps it,s bounds then?
hope for the best
heres a better question: What do you think about a Ron Paul
What do you think about a Ron Paul/Dick Cheney 2012 ticket?

It's fun and all but you
It's fun and all but you don't announce your VP until you win the nomination (1) with a bright future in the GOP, Ryan wouldn't hitch his wagon to anyone.(2)
What is good though is Ryan's voucher thinking and the fact that he could about-face on foreign interventionism. On MSNBC yesterday Ron seemed so hopeful about defeating foreign policy conventional wisdom.
The first 5 million supporters of Dr. Paul are 'early adopters.' The next 10 million will require a modified approach.
Ron Paul/ Paul Ryan
I would certainly wait until after the '10 elections. I suspect that Ron Paul, if he should decide to run, could certainly do a lot better!
Don't forget, it would be prudent to have a running mate who would be even MORE libertarian than Dr. Paul is, especially in foreign and "defence" policy. There are enemies who will not accept the new Constitutional America exemplified by a Ron Paul Presidency peacefully.I am not saying that President Paul's life would be in danger, but ignoring the other assasinations in American history would be naive and foolish indeed!
PEACE AND FREEDOM!!

That would be the part for
That would be the part for Napolitano to fill.

I'm ready for a Davis/Stephens ticket again
I love Dr Paul, but I am thinking we are too far gone now.

Why?
Read into what really led up to the events instead of what we were taught in government school and popular culture.
It was economics and the lust for power that led to the war of northern aggression. Up till then we were a voluntary union made up of sovereign individual States. When the push was made to centralize the government in direct opposition to the Constitution that is when the Southern States chose to leave the Union.
Slavery was wrong, but it was not the reason for what happened. It was the excuse.
Instead of a small portion of the population in servitude, now the whole is. Some books that may interest you are "The Real Lincoln" by Dilorenzo, and "Was Jefferson Davis Right?" by the Kennedy brothers.
We were not meant to be ruled by a central government in Washington. Each State was to be a nation unto itself, and only the specific items granted to the central government were to be done. Not what they did then, and not what they do now.
Sorry if you are offended by those two names, but if you look into it past what we are told to think about it, I am sure that it will make you do a double take.

Well of course they had the
Well of course they had the right to secede, but the confederacy was no friend of libertarianism based on the fact that slavery was legal, which is about as anti-libertarian as you can get.
slavery was on the way to
slavery was on the way to abolishing itself. I saw Dr. Paul adress this very issue. wish I could remeber where I saw him speak. I think he was answering a question about Lincoln.

Any ticket with Ron Paul at
Any ticket with Ron Paul at the top has my vote. And for the record, Paul Ryan's favorite books are Atlas Shrugged and Road to Serfdom. I'm from WI but I'm not a big fan cuz he did vote for the bailout.
Right......
All the Republicans/Neocons are saying Atlas Shrugged is their favorite book lately - it is a shameless marketing ploy. This Ryan dork wouldn't know objectivism if it was tatooed on his face.

"We are the inheritors of the American Enlightenment, which tells us that Individual Liberty always trumps collectivism in all forms."
All you need to know about paul ryan is that....
He voted for all 3 bailout bills!
He even helped kill the first one in congress the first time around but then he caved and voted on Bush's bailout and both of Obama's the second time around.
He's a confused neocon idiot with no spine and no shame.
