Healthcare Bill Question: What happens to naturopathic doctors?

Does anyone know.....If I get diagnosed with a disease, will I be forced to take the conventional treatments or will I still be able to seek alternative treatments? And what happens to all of the Naturopathic Doctors? |

Already good natural practitioners
have been persecuted by the FDA; it will only get worse. And more parents will be forced to have their children vaccinated and treated conventionally.
The only defense is to stay out of the system as much as possible, and take responsibility for your own health; study and learn and practice healthful living.
I don't want to seem negative...
but I think this would only be the first step. Once the govt machine has a complete monopoly on the medical industry - anything that competes with the 'chosen' procedures might eventually be made illegal.
It will be preceded by the usual propaganda campaign and the public will ask to be 'saved' from those awful doctors.
They are already doing it
Greg Caton was illegally kidnapped from Ecuador recently because he dared to provide an alternative cancer therapy that WORKS! Because of this, the FDA punished him. He lost everything and fled to Ecuador only to be kidnapped like a common criminal. They do it all of the time. We need to fight for these people and not give up.

Nothing, I think
it's already a rare insurance plan that would pay anything toward naturopathic care, so those patients pay out of their own pockets. You're not going to be forbidden to pay for something yourself. With the economy continuing to tank, however, fewer and fewer patients will be able to afford their services.

that I don't want.....That bill is 2,400...I am sure there is something in there to prohibit alternative treatments.

My main fear is this bill will be used to force vaccinations on kids and boosters on adults as well.

What is happening right now? My husband got out of Chiropractic early in California because so many of the insurance companies quit paying for it and Awwwnold took away work comp benefits for people. I pay a Naturopath cash and don't want anything to do with insurance and them telling me what I can and cannot do. They are not going to benefit from this at all. We know that.

My fear is that if you get diagnosed with a disease....
...say cancer, that you will be forced to receive the treatment the gov't has decided. You will have no choice to even consider a Naturopath or other alternatives.....I think most will be out of business....

DON'T GO TO THEM
to get diagnosed. STAY OUT of the system. If you have symptoms, go to another country. Get the "Hell" out of here. Believe me, they will force you to take chemo and radiation. Don't go there. Mexico has alternatives, Ecuador has great and reasonably priced alternatives. Also, prevention is key. Do what you can to find out what lifestyle factors promote cancer and what don't. Take ownership now before it is too late.

In addition to Naturopaths, what about...
Homeopaths, Acupuncture, Aromatherapy, Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, Chiropractic, Acupressure, and Osteopathic Manipulation.
Let us not forget Chemotherapy/oncology. This is too expensive and will only be minimally covered.

In a free market
anyone who provides a product or service people want to buy is allowed to do so.
Ruth, You are right.
The placebo effect works up to 30% of the time. People must believe that it will work. If people believe in naturopaths, then perhaps 30% or more of patients will benefit.
The same with vitamins. They are great to use along with exercise and nutrition. People need continued access to these therapies.
Which are . . .
. . . at least as effective as chemotherapy and radiation treatments. :) But they don't belong to the AMA or have insurance lobbyists to pay off the Congresscritters, so I'm afraid they won't be included in the plan, deserving though they may be.

do what they say, or take the alternative... nothing and death. I think they'd be perfectly fine if you choose death.
