I have been at this for about two years, spent a lot of money and time, and now I am going to prepare for self sufficiency.

Dear Tog, It almost seems that your post is pessimistic, like you are throwing in the towel and preparing for the worst. If I may say, being SET FREE by the Truth, and preparing for the best, is what we were created for. Living life: free, or as free as we can, by being as self sufficient, self sustaining, self medicated, self educated, self protected, self governed, self satisfied, self entertained...as we can. Not falling anymore for their lies, poison, cruelty, fear, hatred... We will be set free by growing our own, educating our own, protecting our own, loving instead of hating, helping instead of hurting, living instead of hiding. What have we got to lose? everything, but in the end, what does that matter?, because losing what "they" demand we must have for survival, in the end is what will cause their demise. If we are not worried and refuse to play into the 'handlers' hands any longer, then WE WIN, and they lose. All of us will come to the same end, and those who live by Truth, peace, love and will stand with our heads high before the Creator. Seeing life spring from a seed, which will nourish you and many others is our first step towards freedom. Peace to you.

I have some personal experience with this. I was out of the country the month of January (buying some retreat property in Ecuador) and came back almost broke. I didn't have any work for a month-and-a-half and my side business had just enough sales to pay my rent. I would have been hurting were it not for my ample food reserves. I bought fresh fruit, frozen vegetables, and little else at the grocery store till I had some income happening. I ate a lot of rice and beans and canned turkey, chicken, and sardines (I had canned the turkey myself) during the lean times.

If you are on a tight budget, just begin buying a few more storable foodstuffs than normal and put them away. Keep setting goals for how long a period you will have stored for. I have enough food for about 3 years, longer if I supplement with garden and game.

We do need to be preparing for the worst.

The primaries are over, and apart from voting in November, I'm about tapped out of both money and energy for politics, as it seems we've come to the edge of the cliff.

In my area we have one liberty candidate for the state house of representatives who has a chance, and I'm going to help her as I can. Other than that, everything right now goes to getting ready for what's coming.

except that I don't think the politicians will listen period. Forget the politicians...it's time to move on. We all need to immediately start planning and preparing with other like-minded people to set things in place so that when it all comes crashing down we don't come down with it. This video really got me thinking in a different direction

I feel like it is the beginning of the end. This health care thing is like the last straw. Every time I turn around they hit me with another tax and give me less for it. There is just so much that one person can do. Young people fight on. I am too old and tired. I have a message of health and nutrition to teach people. God has given me that work. So, I will continue to study and do that. Ecuador looks really good. I am glad I have that. I want to work with people who are truly poor and help them with their nutrition; not people who are poor by choice and just take from the system. I will continue to support you all in any way I can and you are my news source. But, I don't feel I can be of any use anymore when I am just banging my head against a wall.

I know many people who have been bankrupted.
