ALL BUSINESS OWNERS : As your taxes and premiums go up based on the healthcare bill I have a suggestion.

I am not a cold hearted person and have great concern for our people here that don't have healthcare. With that said it is not my responsibilty to make sure everyone in America has health care, that would be their responsibility.

Should this bill pass the Senate :

My suggestion is this to all business owners, when you need to make cuts and lay people off, lay off your pro universal healthcare employees and let them know they wanted this health care so now they have it and they are just going to have to take one for the team. ie; lay these people off first. Help them understand that you are forced to cut somewhere and these are the consequences of universal healthcare.

I will be doing this in my business because I believe in the constitution and have no place for people that do not uphold the constitution.

What if nobody was for it?

Cut the ugly ones first?
Just kidding. I almost wish I knew someone who was for it, just to ask them what they think it is.

I think maybe

A signed contract as a contact worker for all employees and pay them a little more than the going rate for their services,If they want the job, sign the contract.
The liability is then theirs. You reserve the right to hire or not hire anyone you wish.

I think you'd be exposing

I think you'd be exposing yourself to possible lawsuits going about it your way. All you need to do is phase out a portion of your permanent staff and have them become their own LLCs so you can sign them on as contract consultants responsible for their own insurance.

I don't see how you'd be exposing yourself to lawsuits.

Political ideology is not a protected class.

It is perfectly within your rights to hire or fire anyone based on their beliefs so long as those beliefs are not religious.

Ever heard of "wrongful

Ever heard of "wrongful termination" lawsuits? They can be quite expensive.

How about not extracting taxes from your other employees?

I don't know if you already do this or not, but, if you're not witholding taxes from your employees on behalf of the govt. good for you!

However, if you are, (please don't answer this question here, BTW, unless you understand the potential implications) why?

Yes I understand.
