“We have allowed our nation to be over taxed and over regulated and overrun by bureaucrats, the founders would be ashamed of us for what we're putting up with.” Ron Paul
Curious
Which viewpoint do the posters of this video thinks comes close to Ron Pauls?
Consider why you post on a site dedicated to RP when you find that video worthwhile rather than two talking heads spewing factless information (and information RP could hardly disagree with more from either one of them).
I seriously think I am going to call Obama and thank him
I believe this is all dog and pony show... This is the part where the lovers have a spat, and it looks like they are breaking up for ever, like Ross and Rachel...
Anyway, it would be interesting if the White House phones were flooded with calls saying "Thank you for standing up to Israel. Now please stop sending them money, too."
Just a thought. I am choking on it a bit, but I am going to try to spit it out... "I am calling to (erk, hack) thank Presi(gag-usurper-cough)dent Obama...
Needs work yet.
Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.
I'll call, Paul4won!
I've had the same thoughts. I'll call...on this I know it is the right thing to support. I will do it.

It is NOT their land.
Israeli captured territory in 1967 by ATTACKING and invading, i.e., a "preventive war". They killed American sailors and nearly sunk the USS Liberty. UN Resolution 242 is NOT "antisemitic". It follows the consistent policy that territory can be not be gained by aggression.
THEIR land? Why do ultra-orthodox Jews oppose the creation of Israel? The Messiah was supposed to create a new Israel; not the UN and not a bunch of Eastern European phonies who neither Jewish by blood nor by religion.
Did he say "they won the
Did he say "they won the territory in 67"?
HaHa!
NO
I would strongly disagree! We must support Israel because it is their land.
Whose land was it prior to
Whose land was it prior to 1948? And how did it become Israel?
King David
He took it all,and with no tact.Killed every man, women, and child to get it.

I wasn't asking about ancient
I wasn't asking about ancient history. Was asking about just prior to 1948.
Wasn't King David the one who had the husband of his mistress killed? One hell of a guy, wasn't he?
Thing is
They have had it ever since in one way or another.
Yes there is a lot of very powerful deceit in the bible.

You appear to be avoiding the question. So let me help you out. The land that is now called Israel prior to 1948 was called Palestine.

cool idea
Just like we support Native Americans, because this is their land afterall, we should also provide the Israelis with a reservation of their own.
I wonder why we don't provide the Native Americans with F-16s?
"why we don't provide the Native Americans with F-16s?"
Let's see...
Smallpox Blankets + Firewater + F16's = bad idea.
I know you were being sarcastic.
I couldn't resist.

Give Native Americans F-16's
and we would not need firewater because we would have Firepower!
I can only wish that to rid our lands of the White man it would only take a hand print on an F-16!
By the way,I can fly it!with many feathers involved.

sarcasm aside
Here's a quote from Ron Paul followed by my brief application of the idea at the end:
" How does Israel, with which the United States has long enjoyed a special relationship, fit into this picture? I see no reason that our friendship cannot continue. I favor extending the same honest friendship that Jefferson and the Founding fathers urged us to offer to all nations. But that also means no special privileges like foreign aid--a position that I maintaiin vis 'a vis all other countries as well. That means I also favor discontinuing foreign aid to governments that are actual or potential enemies of Israel, which taken together, receive much more American aid than Israel does. Giving aid to both sides has understandably made many average Israelis and American Jews conclude that the American government is hypocritically hedging its bets!
I oppose all foreign aid on principle, for reason that I detail in another chapter. Foreign aid is not only immoral, since it involves the forced transfer of wealth, but is also counterproductive, as a ceaseless stream of scholarship continues to show.....
Only those with a very superficial attachment to Israel can be happy that she continues to rely on over $2,000,000,000 in American aid every year. Israel would at last be under pressure to adopt a freer economy, thereby bringing about greater prosperity for her people and making it easier to be self-reliant. Foreign aid only inhibits salutary reforms like this, reforms that any true friend of Israel is eager to see.
As a matter of fact, The Institute for for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies in Jerusalem argues that foreign aid is the greatest obstacle to to economic freedom in Israel.........
Our government has also done a disservice to Israelby effectively infringing on her sovereignty. (and none have been more guilty here, I might add, than Obama) Israel seeks American approval for any military action she deems necessary, she consults with America on matters pertaining to her own borders, and she even seeks American approval for peace talks with her own neighbors, --approval that is not always forthcoming. This needs to stop......She should once again be in control of her own destiny."----Ron Paul
Israel has every right to exist and to govern itself; it should also have the responsibility of defending itself without feeding off the redistributed wealth of our nation.
I agree to an extent.
"Israel has every right to exist and to govern itself; it should also have the responsibility of defending itself without feeding off the redistributed wealth of our nation."
Some say that they have the birthright to that land, and some say that their homeland is about 800 miles away where Georgia is currently.
I am not a biblical scholar, or anything of the sort when it comes to Israel. I do know that there has been nothing but trouble, ever since they became a nation state.
But in light of many recent events, it seems like Israel is the leash holder, and America is the Pit Bull.
They seem to have more connections to 9/11 than any other country. More spies in our own country, and more influence over our political system than any other country, and more influence over the central banking systems of the world.
WWIII is looking like going to start in that area of the world, so this subject concerns me a bit.
I completely agree that ALL foreign aid be cut off immediately. It is time to stop the bleeding. That does not look likely to happen.
Just my perspective.

Hilarious!
That was quite the mixup.
I'd give Cenk the higher marks in this one for both the content of his argument and the strength with which it was made.

Those who create multiple strawmen in debate
deserve to be assertively called out on it.
The Israel "supporter" gets all pissy and starts talking about "what rhetoric we need" after he just totally made up a strawman position for the Turkish guy.
These sort of rhetorical tricks of trying to silence opposition through misrepresentation, then criticism of their response to your misrepresentation, appears to be a well honed trait of aggressive statists.
