What a difference one "meaningless" straw poll makesSubmitted by iiiyraegr on Sun, 03/28/2010 - 02:25
We've all heard the pundits declare straw polls "meaningless" in the wake of Ron Paul's decisive victory at CPAC in February. However, the "scientific" polls the pundits love so much say otherwise:
Ron Paul Pre-CPAC
Want to see the difference another major straw poll victory would make?
1. Buy your SRLC ticket at http://www.campaignforliberty.com/srlc2010.php and
2. Pledge to vote for Ron Paul (between 10am and 5pm on either Friday, April 9 or Saturday, April 10) at http://battleofneworleans2010.com
3. RSVP at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=107027639325734
Let's keep this post on top until April 10!
Answer to questions below:
CPAC was in February and won't happen again until February 2011. The SRLC (Southern Republican Leadership Conference) starts Thursday, April 8, next week. You can buy a conference ticket from Campaign for Liberty for $30 (they are $120 if you buy them directly from the SRLC site at full price), which will give you access to the general sessions, as well as the straw poll, for the duration of the conference from Thursday through Sunday. Ron Paul will speak on Saturday afternoon, April 10. Straw poll voting is open from 10am to 5pm on both Friday and Saturday. So the only day you would need to be there to both see Ron Paul and vote for him is Saturday afternoon, though your ticket would allow you to be there from Thursday through Sunday.
