Idaho Freedom Initiatives!

This is a link to the Idaho Freedom Initiatives. They are gathering signatures to put these initiatives on their general ballot in Nov. All states should check their State Constitutions to see if they have a similar provision that allows this.

See the Washington Freedom Initiatives also -

http://washingtonpatriothub.org/ which is going National.

These are very exciting actions that we all might be able to do.

I like them

but they are a little off on some.

1. The president does not have the authority now to call up the National Guard for foreign operations. The constitution stricly provides that the militia (ie National Guard) can only be called up for Insurrection, Rebellion and to Repel Invasion. Pretty much ends the dabate about sending them overseas.

2. The gold and silver exchange may not be allowed under the US Constitution since those powers are given to congress.

1.The National Guard is not the militia, it is part of the Army.

2. Here is what Dr. Paul says about using gold and silver, in his guest editorial "Legalize Competing Currencies" in the Daily Bell: "We should repeal legal tender laws and allow Americans to conduct transactions in constitutional money. Only gold and silver can constitutionally be legal tender, not paper money. Instead, it is illegal to conduct business using gold and silver instead of Federal Reserve notes. Simply legalizing the Constitution should be a no-brainer to anyone who took an oath of office. Consequently, private mints should be allowed to mint gold and silver coins. They would be subject to fraud and counterfeit laws, of course, and people would be free to use their coins or stay with Federal Reserve notes, as they see fit. Finally, we should abolish taxes on gold and silver, which puts precious metals at a competitive disadvantage to paper money."

Vote With Your Feet in Idaho

Personally, I need to know...

...who is behind idahoinitiatives.com before I'd sign on board. They have some good ideas for initiatives, but there is no need for secrecy here.
