Ya, I think what I foresee is

Ya, I think what I foresee is that if this ridiculous legislation goes forth, VERY few people will want to be doctors anymore...this will be catastrophic, but, sadly, imo, inevitable.

When i was in college just a

When i was in college just a short while ago, i was in classes that contained large amounts of senior pre-med students. This was during the height of the campaign when all of these 'health care' promises were first being made. There were a number of students who didn't think anything about health insurance legislation one way or the other. It was irrelevant to them because they had decided years ago they wanted to be doctors.

However, there were some students that said they were starting to question their decision and were thinking about changing their future career paths. I don't know how many of them actually stopped applying to med school altogether, but i'd be willing to bet that a large amount of students who took a year off before applying are now looking at other career paths.

What i do know is that the sharper pre-med students in my classes (people that were scoring high on tests and really understood the biochemistry material) were the ones most concerned about the future of medicine in this country. The average to mediocre students were the ones who didn't care.

My conclusion from these observations is that even if you have the same number of people going to med school in the future, you will no longer be seeing the top-tier students in each undergraduate class as the ones applying to med school. You will see more of the bright students looking into other career paths, leaving open more opportunities for mediocre students to go to med school and become doctors.

True, especially with

Dr.'s pay reduced by 30% to save money in the health care bill:

I predict that one of the

I predict that one of the immediate effects of this health care package will be an intensive and bullying drive to make people 'healthier'. So expect soon a war on fitness , a war on eating, a war on drinking and a war on going to the doctor. I think the USA is in for a really terrible and miserable time.

The truth is that the American people are being put back into the nursery. Sadly that is exactly what some of them want.

Worse yet, everything taken

Worse yet, everything taken together - the economy, the police state, health care etc, I see us moving into the second dark ages.

Hi

I don't understand one of the arguments that they are advancing here... at the beginning of the video, the guests are mourning the fact that this bill makes cuts to medicare.

But why isn't anyone pointing out that medicare is already bankrupting the country, and that even with the cuts, medicare will likely be a completely unaffordable promise as we move into the future? If we really are against government involvement in health insurance, why is everybody such a huge supporter of medicare?

The US debt clock shows that medicare and the prescription drug program together are accumulating over $90 trillion in future liabilities. So, why don't so-called conservatives support cuts to medicare? It boggles the mind.

Survival of the fittest

The message underneath it all is that medical care will be sparse. If you take this seriously then you need to start living as healthy a lifestyle as possible. Don't count on there being help for you if you get sick. Start living a preventative wellness strategy now by eating well (organic foods), exercising, staying off drugs - legal and illegal, and living a life of integrity that will serve your spiritual health and keep you away from illness.

That was great

I got a nice compact education watching that. I can't wait till the sparks fly in court over O'care.

2012 is the year for Ron Paul!

He said

"RON" FTW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

At the very end

I swear the Judge called Rand "Dr. RON Paul".

I listened a second time, and it sure sounded like he did. Not that I care, just found it funny.

Thanks. The Judge is

Thanks.

The Judge is awesome.

It's almost a shame Fox has such a great (ratings wise) lineup, as it leaves little room for him to get his own show even close to prime time.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/30/business/media/30cnn.html?hpw

We could use another network on the right, seeing how the left has two of them, despite them having a combined viewership only half of Fox's.

Perhaps some rich guy could assemble a network, poke Nap from Fox and pit him heads up against Hannity. Poor Larry King wouldn't have single viewer left........

Even better, a network that neither

left or right, but factual and objective and fair.

Thanks!

I just went looking for a video.

P.S. At the end Judge says "Ron Paul" not Rand.

If Glenn was on..

then he'd try to minimalize Rand using the 9/11 crap.. We know Judge won't do that.

-----
A great empire, like a great cake, is most easily diminished at the edges. - Ben Franklin

No he wouldn't.

And how could he possibly do that? Rand would simply say that 9/11 was not an inside job. He's not like Medina who apparently can't make up her mind. There has been no chatter going around that Rand is a 9/11 Truther, unlike there was for Medina. So there would be no reason for Beck to ask the question.

Glenn Beck has interviewed Rand before, and he didn't ask him if he was a Truther: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u87kRYgIBDc&feature=PlayList&...

Beck just doesn't like Truthers. A lot of people on this site apparently assume that Beck asked Medina about Truth because he didn't like her politics, and therefore wanted to destroy her because of her politics. But that's not what it is. Beck doesn't care what a person's politics are if they are a Truther. He just doesn't like Truthers, regardless of what their politics are. He attacks those on the left for it and on the right, and everywhere in between. He's indiscriminate.

If they attack your motivations or call you a troll, rather than debating the substance of your argument, you've won the debate. If they do this AND address your argument, they know their argument is weak and are trying to make up for that.

Glenn worshipping

Will get you nowhere. I used to think he was an honest but deluded individual. After what he did to Debra I do not think he is honest or deluded, I believe he has sold his soul to the devil. You can't convince me otherwise. Selling her out was a sure bet that Rick Perry would get reelected. Rick Perry is everything Glenn should despise, not someone who might have an opinion that doesn't agree with his 100%. She is a true Constitutionalist and patriot and everything he claims he wants in a leader. Too bad he lost it on her and everyone else who agreed with her. I will never, ever again believe anything he has to say.

Like the Medina cheap shot

My thoughts exactly! Gelnn Beck has lost all credibility in my eyes.

Terrific!

When someone posted yesterday that Rand would be on Beck, I thought the Tool was going to do the interview, not the Judge.

5 stars

bump for good news.
