If you check out their tone about Iran in the last few debates, they were eager to nuke the crap out of the ME. But strangely, now they've all shut up about it. It was awesome that Ron took them to school on their own warmongering. » |

The Report on Iran is a Warning
Didn't you HEAR the President? The report explaining that Iran does not actually have a nuclear weapons program is a warning because they COULD start the program up again. We have to attack them to pre-empt them from doing anything that might later justify us attacking them to pre-empt them from doing anything that might later justify us intervening to prevent them from ultimately attacking . . . uh . . . THEY HATE OUR FREEDOM!!!!!

Lets look at the fact that the ones that are "terrorist" are usually people who are desperate and are terribly poor and they see no other alternative. I really don't think the average American buys this crap anymore... They are triyng to make middle eastern muslims look like "COBRA" from G.I. Joe.
It's this attitude that is going to make the Republicans LOSE!! (with the exception of Ron Paul who seems to be the ONLY honest, level headed person with his eyes open..)

I agree on all points about fear mongering, Iran and the war in Iraq.
One statement is not true at all, however. Most terrorists ARE NOT poor and desperate. They tend to be educated and have often spent time in western countries and have often been educated there as well.

I think you mean have their briefings READ to them...
They don't even read those themselves... that's also what "staff" are for, so that they can sit at a table and have the briefing "summarized" for them...
And then, like Fred they can rely more on whether they had a late-night pizza, and using the infamous G-A-I-S (gastro-intestinal analytical system) they can say, "Well, I don't care what the data says, my GUT tells me that report is wrong!"
