Huck Had No Supporters Outside Debate. Are the Polls for Real?

Here's a bit for the Des Moines Register.
Most unexpected absence: Despite Huckabee?s recent surge in the polls, no supporters or signs on behalf of the candidate were visible prior to the debate.

They said that Ron Paul and John McCain had a lot of signs out before the debate.
It makes one wonder where all these people are who are giving Huckabee this surge in the polls.

Huckabees support is real. It's just that his supporters aren't activitists. They're a more laid back type that can't be bothered. The problem for him is that they may not show up at the voting booth.

Think of Him This Way...
Huckabee is the not-Romney, not-Giuliani, not-McCain, not-Thompson candidate whom I've heard of on the news or in the newspaper. It was only going to last until they learn more about him.
The task is still the same. Knocking on doors and raising money for Ron Paul. We're exactly where we need to be. Voters are still making up their minds and we have the best candidate.

Huckabee's a creation of Old
Huckabee's a creation of Old Media. They don't want to admit Paul is rising so they need a scapegoat. Someone else they can point to and say "WOW! Now here's THE candidate that's surprising everyone!!" Then naturally his poll numbers go up and sheeple see him on the news and decide to vote for the "underdog" (as long as Old Media has dubbed him worthy of having a chance). Don't worry about it. Old media may vote for Huckabee, but the American people are voting for Paul. Luckily, there's more of us than them :)
I have a stupid idea why Huckabee is "surging"
I could be and could be not, but I'm just curious:
What if somebody created a database of phones, where pollsters usually calles?
And what happens if I pay people to take those numbers?
It would be very interesting to do some datamining of phone numbers ownership changes in last few months..
Of course it could be only idea of my twisted mind, but always it would be interested to check that, because I believe in God, but I don't believe, that God is for warmonger, as Huck himself suggested.

Any campaign should be able to get the numbers of people who voted in the last Republican primary. That's a start.

One guy and 100 signs?
I was wondering if one guy shows up and sticks up a hundred McCain signs , is better than a small group of RP supporters, each holding their own signs. I feel I'd have to go with the small group.

Biggest display of signs: McCain supporters erected dozens of signs before anyone else. Ron Paul brought equally large signs, but not as many.

Last I heard, Huckabee was struggling just to get the minimum 10,000 signatures here in VA. We may not have to worry about Huckabee in VA if he can't get enough people to sign the petitions to get him on the ballot. Not only do you have to have 10,000 signatures, there has to be at least 400 signatures in every district, so they can't just focus on the high population areas like Northern VA.

i don't mean to poo-poo this, but when you guys supported someone else beside RP, did you go to daytime debates and wave signs? Doubtful. Admit it, we're much more passionate then all the other supporters.

I dont want to make it a conspiracy theory, but with our success, I really think they poll Ron Paul's name, and then change it to Mike Huckabee. We should have those numbers at this time, especially in the last couple weeks. I can't believe how many people are interested in hearing about him when I talk about him. I need to order more slim jims.

Why no graph on our +$500K day?
I check Ron Paul graphs occassionally, and earlier this week we were sitting at $10.8M for the quarter. Today, it's almost $11.4M, but that extra $500K doesn't show up on the graphs for the daily totals. What gives? Does anybody have an answer for this?
Maybe they are doing an offline donation dump as well.

Huckabee's Fundraising
Huckabee is trying to raise 1.15 million dollars before the middle of this month. They still have another $300,000 to go. We, on the other hand, are going to have raised more in this month alone than he will have raised during the whole quarter. Infact, we will raise more on the 16th of December than he will have raised for the entire quarter. He is getting tons of publicity and sooner or later he will come crashing down. Lets focus more on our incredible strengths than his 15 minutes of spot light. We all have seen what has happened to the past MSM candidates, why not expect the same outcome for Huck?
