Governor of California Candidate - Larry Naritelli - Support of 2nd Amendment

Larry Naritelli is no friend of Ron Paul. He's the Chair of "Tea Party with Newt - CA Coalition." Here's how he describes his position:

Tea Party With Newt
As we approach the upcoming holiday season and enter into the presidential election year I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

At the beginning of December I personally endorsed Newt Gingrich as the best candidate for President to lead us through the rest of this decade. Newt has my full support because his record has proven time and again that he has the ability to successfully eradicate the failed policies of the left and put our economy on the right track to fiscal responsibility, limited government, and free market capitalism.

During the 1990’s Newt’s leadership as Speaker of the House of Representatives gave us the greatest expansion of wealth and economic growth in our country’s history. After successfully leading the Republican Party to victory, which gave them majority control for the first time in 40 years, he immediately cut Congressional bureaucracy and excessive spending, and gave us a Capital gains tax cut that helped spur technological innovation and job creation. This growth oriented plan produced a balanced budget, tens of millions of high paying jobs, and the greatest amount of wealth creation our country has ever experienced.

Additionally Newt has sat down with Tea Party organizations across the country and listened to their concerns. Indeed all of the Tea Party values are now the center of the discussions and questions during the Republican Primary debates. Everyone in the Tea Party movement should be proud of their grassroots involvement to save our country from left wing extremists who are trying to undermine our Constitution. We are making a big difference and our voices are reverberating throughout the halls of Washington DC.

Still need more info on this guy, some of his positions are troubling. Seems like another case of "me-to" with these tea party people.

Does he have ties to big oil? He seems to strongly support it on his website, which is fine by all accounts, but a true freedom supporter would allow the markets to make energy decisions, not get in the way with government playing favorites.

He also seems to understand nothing about the economic crisis, as according to him, it was Pelosi's fault. He seems to think it started in 2007, Maybe he was asleep for all the years of Keynsian policies we've had. Either way, it comes off as more partisan hackery.

Social Issues! This one disturbs me the most, his anti-gay marriage stance really tells me something about his understanding of personal freedom and government's role in protecting contracts.

We can't forget:
"I support the Arizona Governor and the new law designed to protect our people from an invasion of criminal elements associated with those who do not want to follow our laws."
Laughable.
