This ad is terrible. The people comparing it to Ron Paul's atrocious ads should take a look again. This is little better. It looks like they paid some intern fresh out of tech school to do this.

I could whip up the same thing in a few hours with After Effects. It's overly long as well, which I suppose is okay for a youtube ad, but if this ever aired on TV, they'd need to get right to the point.

Sorry guys, but curb your enthusiasm. Rand Paul's machine ad is so far the pinnacle of liberty propaganda.

Why This Is a Good Video

1: uses popular clture figureheads (stewart / beck) to lend credibility to the unwashed masses. you should be laughing when I used Beck and Credibility in the same senence - but that also makes my point.

2: Get a Stop Watch - this is a few 30 and 20 second ads put together.

3: The ads do the job - introduce and get conservatives and republicans to look at peter schiff quickly and explain his you tube fame without actually going on to you tube to watch.

They really nailed this one. - On Message.

I saw the HD version (not on You Tube) - it looks great - they shrunk the old low res video so the picture looks sharp enough still.

I do not disagree with you on any points, but let's be clear here. What I said in my previous post still stands:

This is not to tout my rather lacking skills with some editing software, but that, well.. if I could make an ad just like this, anyone can.

This in turn, whether HD or not, makes the whole production value and seriousness of Schiff's campaign look rather amateurish.

Like someone below said- it's a way for people to see his youtube presence without going on youtube. So if you gave me an hour, I could find the same clips on youtube, same low quality, and make a near identical ad.

This one is just sloppy. Poor luma keys, amateurish lensflares, beveled square slides with clips on them. Then there was the template file they added a shine effect to halfway through!

About the most professional thing about this ad is the announcer they hired to do some voice overs.

Whether the content is good doesn't matter. We all know that you can have a great message, but a not so great presentation (see ANY Ron Paul ad).

(True, this ad is longer and more substantive, but it is far from polished. That is the only thing I wished to address.)

You strike me as delivering a fantastic message and promise. We need so many folks to help spread Ron Paul's message hither and yon. So far, so good!

You will be be on much firmer ground if you clear up:

  • "Physical gold deliveries questionable and slow out of the Perth Mint?"
  • "Where's the Gold?"
  • "What's the wait?"
  • "What's the weight (tungsten)?"

Stories abound. Don't waste time debating me. Look at your rep. So high on what you say. You are right. But, is Perth Mint timely meeting their promises that you are selling? Integrity building? or waning?

As hopefully a side note, I hope you have a clear story and records to back it up on Jacob Schiff. It is clear, a jacob Schiff helped set up and run the Fed Resv. You have said he is not related you you. Another story is your Grandfather was also Jacob Schiff and on the same boat that came to settle in America. I just love history. I hope yours in very good.

You are a great salesman. The Perth Mint gold claimed to be in storage that you sell is getting a rep as slow on delivery and high on delivery charges.

Many a gold salesman is quietly leaving town.

Would't perth mint be the initial refiner from the gold mined in the land down under. (They never buy gold bars)

I do think that there is a serious qustion there and I hope Peter has taken care of his buyers by forcing the issue with perth mint.

It is my understanding that the "state" governement that perth is in is 100 pct backing the certificates with gold.

Unlike Ft Knox we know there is gold in the ground down there for them to make good in a worse case scenario.

If there was ever one flaw with the good doctor, it's that I have never heard him mention Peter Schiff name publicly before. C'mon doctor Paul, ENDORSE SCHIFF and give him a boost in the poll. Schiff really need it at this point in the game.
