The ad design was paid for by these guys.
The drive ends tomorrow (Dec. 14), and they are less than $640 short of their goal. If they don't reach it, the ad will be canceled, because they want to get into the January issue for the most impact. If 130 people chip in $5 by tomorrow, they will make it.
However you feel about cannabis, just remember that High Times magazine is read by a lot of people, far more than the number who subscribe. Many people read it at the newsstand/bookstore because they are afraid to be seen buying it. And then there are all the people rolling joints on their friend's copy...LOL!

I printed a few copies
I printed a few (50) copies of the ad with one of the "slim jims" on the back and took them by my local "smoking accessories" shop. Also passing them out to some of my friends. Should be good for a few votes here in California.
I agree with the sentiment about Dr. Paul's opinion
Dr. Paul has said that it isn't the federal government's position. He may not wish legality at the state level though.

I'm not sure that is exactly true. Maybe put something in there about the Iraq war or industrial hemp / enviormentalism. This will be a hit with the High Times crowd who are also very "green" and "enviromental".

Great ammunition for the MSM and their candidates.
The nice thing
is that Ron Paul can completely disown the ad, since his campaign didn't place it. It was his supporters.
However, if the MSM wants to talk about why industrial hemp & medical marijuana are not legal, Dr. Paul will demolish them with common sense, as usual. I hope the issue comes up and there is serious discussion. That is what this country needs, and that is why we all love Dr. Paul.

Ron Paul's Key to Victory
We think that Ron Paul's open acceptance of the legalization of hemp for commercial purposes is perhaps his most electable issue. Tapping into this group of people and helping them to understand Dr. Paul's rare brand of honesty and fairness will spur them into action. Among the youth, the musicians, hollywood, and the global warmingists this is the single biggest issue that will draw in the crowds!!
At least we think so anyway and that's why we created a whole website devoted just to spreading Ron Paul's Hemp message.
I always said I would vote for and support until the end any candidate who was smart enough to take on the hemp issue. I will never give up on Ron Paul just because he had the guts to stand up for the greatest plant ever known!! Perhaps because he is the best politician we've ever known!!
