With Howard Fineman. Also - note the sidebar - there are four parts to the interview. Unfortunately, there are a lot of annoying ads. This is why we love YouTube!

Bad answer on gun control

I've been reading Dr. Paul's material for several years, so I know he understands and fully embraces the true intent of the 2nd amendment. So it pains me to say that I think he is softening his rhetoric, perhaps because he is being counseled by advisors not to be too iconoclastic during a national candidacy.

His answers on gun control were very weak and arbitrary. The entire purpose of the 2nd amendment is to have the government fear the armed citizenry so that they are deterred from tyrannical acts. While I personally don't see the purpose of having a bomb in your basement, I do not see why we should embrace the idea that the government be better armed than the people. With their nukes, fighter jets, and heavy caliber machine guns, what deterrent is a populace armed with only hunting rifles?

As long as an individual's weaponry is not used to violate the rights of another, there is no crime in being armed to the teeth.

Have u seen what C. Matthews

Has done to Muck Huck's gun position..

Saying... Muck wants everyone armed to protect themselves against the government... then he goes on to imply how NUTS muck is...

These guyz can't stand the fact that the CONSTITUTION GUARANTEES THIS RIGHT... .for EXACTLY THAT PURPOSE..

They just can't bring themselves to AMEND the damn thing... so they try to make it sound crazy.. and those that support it sound crazy too...

Almost like... we are supposed to be advanced enough now to understand that parts of the Constitution... written "in the olden dayz" don't apply to the technology age.. and we are supposed to just ignore those parts...not to mention KNOW which parts of the Constitution those are too.. UNBELIEVABLE...

Why not CHANGE IT??? ignorance leads to destruction... ignoring the rule of law leads to LAWLESSNESS... something we have seen plenty of over the last 20 years of government.

old days, new days.. you

old days, new days.. you always have a right to defend yourself with a weapon.

Local control

Question is along with all other constitutional mandates do local governments have the right to dilute these mandates? I think within reason they do. Others may disagree. But the Federal government? I think they don't have the right to ban any weapon whatsoever, though just as the federal government has no business telling other countries what weapons they can have they do have a business in defending us if direct threats are made with these weapons, this goes domestically as well. But then you get in the mucky waters of intent. Either way a direct law from congress? Nope, no thanks.

I enjoyed these

Yes, reporters are going to want to "catch Ron" on some issue, but the man is so thoughtful and thought-provoking, that I just don't see that happening, regardless of the interviewer...lol.

That's supposed to be 'news'?

I have pretty much lost all respect for the Old Media. Ok, ditch the pretty much.

Hack interviewer paid to hack the Doc

Coward schillmonger. Throughout a pained incredulous expression on his face.I think Murdoch must have had electrodes attached to his ba%$s.

What is it like to a be a slave?

We want it more than they do,
