Well, there does seem to be a problem with him defending the Commerce Clause as allowing the federal government to restrict or control the trade of anything it likes, rather than promote free trade as was the intent of our Constitution:

United States v. Jeronimo-Bautista. Mike Lee persuaded the Tenth Circuit to overturn a district court determination that Congress lacks authority under the Commerce Clause to criminalize the possession of child pornography.

Are these generic ads everyone is shown with photos of their own senators based on IP?

I doubt Bennett would betray all his top banking supporters in order to try to keep his seat. More than likely, he would only support ending the Fed in order to try to derail the effort from the inside. Bennett proposed his own mandatory health care before Obama did. That seems to be the way he works.

Mike Lee's website is pretty good. In addition to pat fiscal conservative fare, He has the b*lls to support an entitlement overhaul and hint strongly at term limits. Almost thought his piece on Afghanistan was going to go further and come closer to the Ron Paul position. Not perfect on foreign affairs but better than his predecessor. Either way, Rand will need friends and you got to love that Romney takes another hit.

To paraphrase Joe Biden, this is a big f*ckin' deal, man, the Senate. Rand first though, it's not over in KY yet.

Could Be Over for Bennett Banksters in 9 days

If Mitt Romney's introduction of Bob Bennett at the Convention in 9 days doesn't sway delegates, which I doubt it will at this point, then Bennett could be knocked out of the primary on May 8.

Did you see the open letter to Mike Lee which was sent to delegates by the Bob Bennett campaign? I posted it below. Bennett tries to attack Lee by saying that his foreign policy is not Republican mainstream and that he's a disciple of Ron Paul.

I wonder how bad Bennett's own letter hurt himself and helped Lee?

This one is doubly sweet, as Romney threw himself behind him as well. And the less pull Romney is shown to have, the less he can rely on supposed "electability" to pull "tactical" voters away from RP.

I don't know anything about Lee and Bridgewater, but I do know about Romney and the banks supporting Bennett, and knocking the lot of them down a few notches can't help but being a good thing.

Utah is prime RP country, but at the same time Romney is a bit of a home team favorite there, possibly complicating winning that state for RP in '12.

That's a bit scary. For all his ills, Rove has traditionally been pretty good at picking winners.

But it is looking like the old formula no longer works, so hopefully even Rove is caught flat footed.

The more supposed "electables" we manage to (repeatedly) humiliate, the less effect it will have when they inevitably try that angle on Ron in '12.

As a side benefit, looking at Mike Lee the frontrunner's site, he is not at all bad. He even musters the courage to say we should only go to war with the goal of taking out specific military targets, and then let the troops come home. And his other issues are standard Tea Party, hence a good bit better than the status quo. Perhaps not enough for RP to give his endorsement, but still, lots and lots better than another Romneyite or Bushie.
