I bought a signed copy of his new book when he came through Fort Wayne for $20. I turned around and sold it on eBay for $60. I paid myself back $20 and gave the other $40 to Ron Paul.

I called into www.RPRRADIO.com last week and told the story, then thanked Glenn on the air. I'm thinking Glenn is a nice enough guy and wouldn't have minded kicking in 40 bucks for a worthy cause.

My wife and I were back at Border's Books just yesterday. I managed to slip some wallet cards into a few copies while we finished up on some shopping. I figured they could be used as a free book mark for GB fans.

What is this doing back here?

We'll thank Glenn Beck AFTER the interview, not before, and only if it goes well and he doesn't try to pull any more dirty tricks. Why should we thank him for allowing Ron Paul to boost his miserable ratings unless we end up with something in return?

I think it's law that he has to offer equal time to all candidates. we should thank Ron Paul for taking him up on it,and hope Beck is fair and does not pull an O'reilly . I think his ratings for the night should be plenty thanks.

After some research it seems you're referring to the equal opportunity provision of the Communications Act, from Wikipedia: "However, there are four exceptions: if the air-time was in a documentary, bona fide news interview, scheduled newscast or an on-the-spot news event the equal-time rule is not valid.". So most likely it does not apply to this show.

Also I believe Ron Paul is opposed to legislation such as the Fairness Doctrine, but I'd assume only because this would be a legislative approach. If people themselves organized into some kind of consumer group and took it up with the media stations to demand equal air time for candidates he'd most likely would not have a problem with that at all.

I'll wait to see how good a job he does at giving Paul a fair shake in the interview. If it's (another) attempt at character assassination, I'll pass on saying thank you.

He did win points today by totally trashing Mike Huckabee, the candidate I find the most unqualified and dangerous in either party.

..to be such a bad guy, I watch him 2 or 3 times a week. I like his show, even though he often times puts his foot in his mouth. His book is a great read, even though we disagree on Global Warming.

the plain truth is, RP gets a s***ton of ratings to any media outlet there is. While GB might genuinely be curious about getting the Dr on his show, hes getting plenty of thanks in return with a huge rating boost. Remember, news is after all a business. The guests they air are all very much calculated. Dont be so easily flattered that RP's been invited on the show, because theyre not doing it out of the kindness of their hearts or by any sense of altruism or righteousness. Its all about the cash. These guys are all businessmen, not journalists.

If you want to thank anyone, thank RP for having the courage to deal with this kindof BS if only for the small amnt of people it will potentially pursuade in the long run.

It will go over better with the general population. YES, we should be generous to glenn beck, it may soften him up for the interview. Remember, even if he did dis us before, everyone makes mistakes. in fact all of our movement was created by people that were not for ron at first

After watching this, I am not offended at all. If you want to be angry at someone, get angry at Horrowitz, he's the misinformed one, what with the islamo-facist crap.

I liked Becks position. America is so far off the course that the populice wants, they are not listening at the federal level and is in dire need of political discourse and a freedom r3VOLution. He has a certain concern (that I do as well) that some within the freedom r3VOLution might want to take this to the physical level. 11/5 being Guy Faukes day didn't help our case any - but, before you have a fit - it doesn't matter. Neither the date nor the connotation of physical violence matters. I think all that he was expressing concern about was a physical revolution as opposed to what we are trying to affect (a political revolution)

I see him as a supporter of the thrust of our arguments against the established political system.

Again, I'm pretty happy with his comments, I would take offense to the guests positions, but then again, consider the sources - a Brit (in the same socialistic type system that we have, to a higher degree of Socialism) and a guy who was raised as a Communist.
Why would anyone CARE what the 2 guests said? Their history shows thier true colors. It's like being mad at a a bird for flying. One is a Communist and the other an unembarrased Socialist...at least Beck said he had strong Libertarian leanings...

Glenn Beck made no attempt to correct Horowitz when he said things that were just plain untrue, like how Ron Paul chose Guy Fawkes as an "image." Beck let the misinformation stay out there uncorrected, so he's every bit as offensive as his guests.
