Ron Paul at the bottom of the list again. Apparently there's just not enough of us

Quirky are we, eh?

Matt Lewis's use of Kentucky Derby imagery in describing the candidates likely chance of winning is a well-worn track that all political writers are obligated run on, but seldom distinguish themselves with winning in their own field.

In his closing comments Lewis cites, "a famous Hunter S. Thompson column (that) was titled 'The Kentucky Derby is decadent and depraved.'"

Wouldn't that then portray this field of neo-con oath-breakers, as running more of a political whores-race, with one quirky exception, of course?

Why do they insist

on labeling him quirky? He won his last TX election soundly, so does that mean Texans are quirky too?

He needs to hire a freakin' kick ass PR manager

if he hasn't already.

Last time, he didn't seriously think he had a chance of winning...and thus, he didn't have an uber-level campaign manager.

I really hope he takes 2012 seriously and already has hired an uber-level campaign manager...cuz, he needs it.

If he doesn't have the funds to hire such a manager, ENTER THE 2012 now and start asking for donations. We will flood him with the money he needs!

Unfortunately his pr manager is married to his

granddaughter.

Don't see why he can't delegate some tasks to a superb underling, however.....

Go ahead GOP and nominate Romney/Palin in 2012...

You're going to LOSE, LOSE, LOSE AGAIN.

I'll never vote for either one of them---guaranteed.

What Congressman Paul seriously needs is a legislative victory

He's not likely to get it with the "Audit the Fed" bill; not, at least, before the 2010 elections. However, is "End the Mandate" legislation, which is languishing with 11 cosponsors, could do it, IF we get behind holding our Congress members accountable for ending this most odious portion of Obamacare.

Why isn't the movement

Why isn't the movement focused on the End The Mandate bill? I've called mine. I know the fed is the most evil thing on the planet but most people don't understand it. But most DO understand the mandate. It would be great if we could get more people into calling/faxing/emailing their reps

The applause for it at SRLC was deafening

no fragmenting on THAT point, at all.

my reply..

Wrong.

The day Ron Paul announces his bid.. expect all the groundwork his grassroots have done since 2007 to pay dividends.

We are coming for the White House. We support the best candidate. The only one that truly defends our rights, our sovereignty and our money. Its going to be fun shocking you elitist establishment types.

Goldwater didnt do what Paul has done.

Personal bet.. If Paul announces, he raises over $10M in the first 30 days. His grassroots are going to shake the entire foundation. Especially if his son wins KY, Schiff wins CT or the economy takes anymore beating, the war spreads or China makes a move on the dollar.

This isnt going to be a repeat of 08. We want our freedom. We want peace. We want prosperity. The only way to achieve that is to listen to the man who has warned for 30 years what would happen if we didnt follow the rules. And has been proven correct.

The Bush doctrine is taking a back seat to a new, youthful, energized and CONSERVATIVE message. One fraught with real Liberty, real peace and real conservatism. Instead of a group of liars willing to say anything 'conservative' to get elected and never delivering.

Paul won CPAC by a landslide. Lost SRLC by one vote.. because they closed the polls early. I guess that all just a fluke, something not be taken seriously, unless of course its an establishment figure.

I cant wait to see the shock of the establishment when we come and whoop that a*s.

I need to starting putting this money away right now so I will be ready to donate.
2300 for me, and 2300 for each family member.

If 4,400 people did this one

If 4,400 people did this in one day we'd get to Ten Million Freaking Dollars. Imagine the publicity, and how they'd spin it

If 10,000 Paulites put in

If 10,000 Paulites put in 1000 dollars each in one day we would shock the world! This is something I could get behind. Even if you didn't have the 1000 bucks yourself you could get money from friends and family to achieve this. I would love to see a ten million dollar day for the good Doctor from TX

That is his view

He puts people polling way worse much higher because he prefers them, but I didn't see a national poll with them 1% away from Obama.

The primaries are the problem. If there were no parties, RP would run just great.

problem solution

Caucus states are the solution. We have the numbers and motivation to take every caucus state.

For the OPEN-primary states

For the OPEN-primary states Democrats, Independents, as well as Republicans can vote for Dr. Paul. The only thing I am not sure of is if Obama does NOT have any Democrat challengers in the primaries, are Democrat Primaries still going to be held? Because if not, than many registered Democrats and Independents would vote for Dr. Paul in the OPEN primary states. If others can enlighten me on this issue here, it would be greatly appreciated.

Rand Paul 2016 for Peace

I don't know. I think they can vote in open states regardless

and I wonder when they poll 'primary voters' if they poll anyone other than Republicans in the open primary states. For some candidates it might not make a difference, but for Ron Paul is makes a HUGE difference.

Agree 100%, thanks.

Rand Paul 2016 for Peace

Ron Paul has to run as an

Ron Paul has to run as an independent if he is going to win. He cannot win the GOP primaries because the majority of Republicans (unlike the majority of Americans) love war, and cannot vote against it because they would then have to admit they were wrong in the first place. Saving face is more important to them than the truth.

Ron Paul needs to forego running as a Republican and announce that he is running as an independent as soon as possible.
