Another Blockbuster from King World News: Possible DOJ Investigation into JP Morgan Chase Over Silver Manipulation

Eric King has two new exclusive, must listen interviews on this subject:

1) Ted Butler discloses that he has received communication from the Department of Justice, via one of his subscribers, that the DOJ will 'carefully consider the issue of silver market manipulation by JP Morgan and other traders.' JP Morgan has a concentrated short position in the silver market, something Ted has painstakingly detailed over the past many years. Andrew Maguire credits Butler as his inspiration for coming forward to expose JP Morgan's manipulation of silver in what may be the largest fraud in history. This is huge news, as the government looks like it may finally be taking action on this ongoing crime.

Click here for the complete interview with Butler.

2) Jim Rickards gives King exclusive expert analysis on this breaking news. Jim has experience in dealing with the Antitrust Division of the DOJ, and points out that the communication Butler received came on behalf of one of his subscribers who filed a complaint with the DOJ was not just a pro forma response. The DOJ's response mentions JP Morgan by name, thought it was not included in the original inquiry, and further says the DOJ will take it upon themselves to consider the matter, even though the CFTC has jurisdiction...

Thanks once again to Eric King for breaking the news that the MSM refuses to touch. CNBC, the WSJ & NYT and the rest are maintaining their media blackout on the silver manipulation story. Thank God for the internet!

invest in what?

I've been long on gold and silver for many years. As well as six months of "prep supplies" for my family to survive for at least six months seeing NO ONE. But cigarettes? Wow! They rot over time. I've also bought many cases of Luksusowa Polish vodka (the airline size bottles 90 cents a bottle wholesale). More expensive then big bottles but thick glass so they don't break on aircraft. GREAT barter item. Liquor will go up faster in value than gold, silver and guns when TSHTF. Any liquor store can order all you want in a few days. Tastes better than Smirnoff but less than half the price. Small company with small ad budget so they sell cheap. People will not care about the brand. Sealed liquor lasts 50+ years if kept in the dark and out of heat. If you have a thing about liquor stock up on honsy instead for barter. Properly stored it lasts hundredso of years. Won't shoot up in price but you'll have all the barter supplies you'll need.

you can make your own

you can make your own liquor.. you can't make your own silver.

The only thing Carter did right

was to let us make our own Beer and Wine,But distilling is still illegal.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

thanks for the tip regarding Luksusowa

good one.

Whisky as Barter

I heard a metals dealer once talk about how he had cases of whisky for barter - not so much gold.

My Hawaiian Blod does not like white mans fire-water so I will stick with gold and silver.

fines announced for futures manipulation

CFTC FINES MORGAN STANLEY, MOORE CAPITAL
MARKETSCOPE: The CFTC fined ... Moore Capital $25 million for attempting to manipulate palladium and platinum futures. The two settlements come as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission begins to exert more authority over the markets it regulates and as Congress contemplates handing it far more power over the vast over-the-counter derivatives markets.
...
Separately, the CFTC fined Moore Capital Management -- one of the largest and most consistently profitable hedge funds -- for trying to manipulate the settlement prices of platinum and palladium futures contracts on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The CFTC said Moore's fund portfolio manager tried to manipulate platinum and palladium futures from at least November 2007 through May 2008 by entering trades in the last 10 seconds of trading in a manner designed to exert upward pressure on the settlement prices. The practice is known as "banging the close." In addition to the fine, Moore Capital has restrictions on its trading activities for three years, including a two-year restriction its trades within 15 minutes of and during the close in the platinum and palladium futures and options markets, the CFTC said.- Reuters.

Don't get too hopeful

Some lies are uncovered so that even bigger ones can be hidden or covered up.

Ron Paul Has Stated That Most In Congress , Simply Don't,

Understand money and how important it is !

Please remember a U.S. dollar is now worth slightly more than a penny.
How long before it's worth "Less" than a penny???
How long before a Copper penny represents $100 dollars, in the murky land of derivatives?

If they have hearings it would be real nice, in my humble opinion, to educate panel members, here is a start:

Very few Americans realize that our original money was measured in grams. {g} (31.1034) = one ounce in Troy weight or Avoirdupois weight.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coinage_Act_of_1792

An excerpt:
The Act { 1792 coin act } defined the proportional value of gold and silver as 15 units of pure silver to 1 unit of pure gold. Standard gold was defined as 11 parts pure gold to one part alloy composed of silver and copper. Standard silver was defined as 1485 parts pure silver to 179 parts copper alloy.

Any person could bring gold or silver bullion and have it coined free of charge or for a nominal fee exchange it immediately for equivalent value of { Gold/Silver } coin.

Quality control measures were implemented in that from each separate mass of gold or silver used to produce coins, three coins were set aside by the treasurer. Each year on the last Monday in July, ***under the inspection of the Chief Justice, the Secretary and Comptroller of the Treasury, the Secretary of State, and the Attorney General, the coins were to be assayed and if the coins did not meet established standards, the officers were disqualified from office. Further, the penalty for fraud or embezzlement by officers or employees of the mint was death.

*** Please notice what jobs the 4 people listed above were "Required" to preform !

This was a time when the United States money was the most "Respected" money in the world !

What happened to that respect ??? Can you say "Treason"? I know you can !

beesting

Treason is in season, and denial is on trial.

The thing about the penalty for treason, is that it is death by public hanging in the street the next day.
Nothing seems to disturb these teflon sycophants.
But what they are not thinking of, is that this is modern day. . . hangings are replaced with assasination. Now that should get their attention.
After all, getting their attention is what law is all about, eh? So, they find solace in a police state.
Why do they persist in ignorant arrogance? It is to the point of insanity. The straw is already breaking the camel's back.

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”

A lot of assumptions

The assumption that there will even be an indictment for starters. It doesn't end there, remember the events of 9/11 when steel reinforced structures collapsed do to fire at free fall speed? Look how that investigation was handled.

At this point in our countries history with our constitutional privileges dwindling into ashes why would anybody assume the DOJ is legitimate in providing equal justice for all.

Sometimes you have to look at the big picture to put things into perspective. Throughout history kings and their nobleman (powerful elite) had the the legal authority to make laws to govern by decree on any issue to their own advantage, much like the JP Morgan's and Goldman Sachs's of today (IE. financial reform).

and then you die

I agree.. I am not holding my

I agree.. I am not holding my breath that anyone from jpmorgan or goldman sachs goes to jail.. Gensler the CFTC chairman worked for goldman for 18 years. BUT IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. Silver is going to explode.. profit from it.

“Defiance of God’s Law will eventually bring havoc to a society.” - Dr. Ron Paul

There's no rational reason

There's no rational reason for silver to explode relative to gold.

really.... what you just said

really.... what you just said goes to show that you don't have a clue. For 3 years I have been telling people like you that the silver market was manipulated.
People like you who don't have a clue, would say the metals market was not manipulated.. blahh blahh blahh.. then what 3 weeks ago the whistleblower comes in and validates EVERYTHING Butler was called crazy for. Ok since I see I have to educate you in the same way Ron Paul hasd to educate Julie annie here ya go.
the silver market is 1/6 the size or less of the gold market. Silver is used in everything from computers, to lights to cars to appliances etc etc etc.. 1000's of products would not be here today if not for silver. Thus silver is consumed unlike gold. There is MUCH less silver in the world than gold.

Since silver has been manipulated for the past 25 to 30 years it was not worth it for miners to mine silver only. Many mines were shut down. Silver comes to market today as a byproduct of gold, lead, zinc, etc
The production of silver can not be ramped up to meet supply in a short amount of time. It will take 5 years or more for for new supply to come on line. Old mines that were shut down will have to go through the permiting process again and it will cost almost as much as a new mine would cost to start up production.

what you and some others do not understand is that the industrial users of silver who have to have silver to keep their assembly lines open are going to panic. Let me ask you a question. If you all the sudden heard that there was going to be a shortage of gasoline and the price was going to rise and you needed to top off your tank and fill up some jugs would you go do it?
this is exactly what will happen with silver.

there is so much more that YOU need to study and so much more information I could present on this. but I just don't feel like it. Here is your reading assignment julieannie/velveeta. www.butlerresearch.com
there are 10 years worth of Ted Butler and Isreal Friedmans work on the silver market. GO STUDY before you make another ignorant post. then again don't.. I don't care if you profit from this once in a lifetime opportunity or not. Your loss not mine. I started reading Butlers information 8 years ago. I bought at 4.50 to the 5.50 range. Its only a matter of time velveeta.. don't let this opportunity pass you by.. I will say this to you right now.. You are dead wrong if you don't think silver will outperform gold.

“Defiance of God’s Law will eventually bring havoc to a society.” - Dr. Ron Paul

Maintaining social order

Maintaining social order requires that the PTB occasionally pander to the unwashed masses (that be us). They may actually sacrifice one of their own, but only if, in the end, it advances their agenda. Trust and confidence in government and fiat currency are waning. I don't expect anything substantial to come of this. Martin Armstrong is right, we have to go back to square one and rebuild everything. DOJ, CFTC or SEC actions won't really do anything but temporarily appease the masses for the purpose of maintaining the social order.

Your right

But the sheep will eventually awaken to find the social order (decree of the elite) is to maintain disorder of the masses. This makes it easier to pull the wool over the masses eyes. How many laws do the sheep legislate through their representatives? Who woke up this morning and said let's go to Iraq and Afghanistan so we all can be free? What sheep or group of sheep said they want to owe more taxes in the future so turn on the printing presses? WHEN IS ENOUGH ENOUGH?

and then you die

I love it.. I introduced the

I love it.. I introduced the daily paul family to Ted Butler 3 years ago. From a few morons I was told that butler should retire and that Butler didn't know anything about the markets etc. etc etc.. there was no manpulation etc etc etc.. now Butlers name is on Page 1 and at the top. Thank You Michael. To jeff3456098 and jzneff, come on boys tell me how i'm a cut and paste idiot and how you are so much more highly educated and enlightened then I am.. Wow the silence is golden.. ONCE AGAIN.. BUY ALL YOU CAN QUICKLY. YOU WILL NOT SEE SILVER UNDER 14.00 IF IT GOES DOWN AT ALL.

Has anybody come up with evidence

of the FED or treasury uses JP Morgan as an agent yet?

Lets be clear...Even if you hold 2 tons of silver if this turns out to be true this would be a very bad thing. You should not be looking at this as an opportunity for profit.

I still say if this turns out to be true your best opportunity for profit is in smokes.

Would you care to elaborate?

2 questions:

1. Why would this be bad for owners of silver?

2. Why is the best opportunity to profit in "smokes"?

I feel like you just made a very strong claim and then left us hanging with the details.

Your talking about a collapse.

I listen to the interview w/the shadow stats guy and he agreed with me (or I agreed with him). Only thing silver will do for you is protect your value over the long term.

If this really is as giant as some people claim it is then that means the Central banks have been toying with value of money for a very long time. not a surprise to anyone here, but to the rest of the market (everyone that uses currency in this case) will go crazy.

If this turns out to be giant it will make what the over leveraged housing did the economy look uneventful. Your asking for a crisis and the government never lets a good crisis go to waste. There may even need to be a war to get things settled. Silver might be good for your net worth, but that is of little importance when you are dealing with rations, fema camps, drafts or dead.

Addicts will do anything for a smoke. If you had a couple pallets of smokes in a crisis the opportunities would be almost limitless. Silver doesn't have that kind of power.

well you are wrong on that..

well you are wrong on that.. you need to read what Butler says.. what you don't understand is that silver is used to make everythin you use in modern life. what do you think will happen when thousands of manufacturers of priducts get it figured out that there is not enough silver and they panic to buy inventory to keep their factories open? I really wish you people would read up before you comment. I gaurantee you this.. what you are not seeing is the rapid jump silver will take in price before the collapse. that profit is then used to buy things like your ciggs etc. Silver has more power then your ciggs ever thought about having.

i'm intrigued

So do cigarettes go bad over time? I will have to think about this a little longer but i might just invest in a few cartons now, if i am guaranteed that they aren't going to shrivel and rot because they sat around for too long.

very bad? how?

very bad? how?
