Director of the Committee on Financial Affairs of Japan still hopeful of meeting Ron Paul

May 6 is National Day of Prayer in United States.
The Director of the Committee on Financial Affairs in the House of Councillors (upper house = Senate) of the National Diet of Japan, Counsellor Yukihisa Fujita, is observing this in Washington, DC, wanting to meet Congressman Ron Paul.
He has so hankered to meet Congressman Ron Paul during this, his second trip to DC since his party came to power in Japan.

pick up a copy of the Constitution, you'll find Congress is supposed to have more to do with foreign policy (and foreigners) than the executive branch.

He wants to express in person what he said on Ron Paul Revolution Radio recorded 2007 December 28:
"I have looked at various information regarding Ron Paul and I'm very encouraged that he is known as the taxpayer's best friend. And the various economic revitalization plans that he mentions also gives me a lot of hope. He obviously looks at policy making from the viewpoint of the common people. And he wishes to eliminate taxes on tips. And his support for the Mortgage Cancellation Relief Act and so on. I'm very inspired by a person elected 10 times in Texas, a Republican, who used to be involved in the Army, who has those policies. Also, his Foreign Policy of Honest Friendship, and desire to have less US military presence outside the USA. I am very inspired by the combination of his foreign and domestic policies. He must be a champion for the citizens of the world."

Counsellor Fujita first expressed publicly his desire to meet Congressman Paul on December 28, 2007 when interviewed for the first time by IndyInJapan on Ron Paul Revolution Radio.
Efforts to bring this to Dr. Paul's attention have been ongoing, if intermittent, sine then.
