Letter to Senator Bob Bennett from Utah resident after Utah Republican primary lossSubmitted by nepos libertas on Sun, 05/09/2010 - 17:18
Hello Senator Bennett,
There are reasons why you lost the primary. It doesn't have to do with health care debacle.
You voted for "TARP" in 2008 and "Secure Borders, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Reform Act" in 2007.
These are two prime reasons why you had been ousted, not to mention the fact that you pledged to serve two terms only to break the campaign promise.
You favor power, and Senatorial desire for power is typical. It is ambition for power rather than serving Utah's interests, and your voting for TARP and Immigration Act 2007 are considered offensive to Utah "real conservative" values.
I favor repealing 17th Amendment so the power to elect senators should be reversed to restore the intent and purpose of a true Republic as designed by founding fathers.
Your attitude towards Utah with the aforementioned two "YEA" votes reflects the ambition for power by appeasing the powers-that-be in New York and Washington rather than the majority of Utah resident-citizen people.
You should be reminded that real conservatives do not tolerate malfeasance towards their values, and because you chose to commit malfeasance with dishonest and pandering-to-the-elite attitude, you had been ousted.
Save crocodile tears for the elites at Wall Street who support rapid globalization through breaking open the border to alter American political landscape for the worst future.
You disrespect Founding Fathers, and that is why you will leave the office soon.
