Ron Paul Wins Frederick County Straw Poll and Un-official Endorsement

Just came back from the Frederick County (MD) Republican Club meeting where Ron Paul destroyed the competition in our straw poll:

Ron Paul - 13 votes
Huckster/Mitts/Julie - 3 votes each
Fred - 1 vote

More importantly Dr. Paul received the un-official endorsement of Congressional representative Dr. Roscoe Bartlett (R - MD 6th district) during his speech on the Hubbert oil curve at the event. Dr. Bartlett, a friend of Dr. Pau's in Congress (and a Ph.D. physicist), stated, without prompting from Paul supporters, that Dr. Paul would make a fantastic president and was the financial expert and free-market advocate in Congress. Following Dr. Paul's win in the straw poll, Dr. Bartlett, a strong advocate of alternate energy research, said he would officially endorse a republican presidential nominee who espoused a long-term US energy policy that acknowledged that oil is a finite resource and that alternatives other than biomass ethanol need to be developed today. Kudos to both Congressional doctors!
