I think Rand should send a "Thank You" note to Rachel

1) He has had more exposure in the first 24 hours of his candidacy than he could have EVER afforded on his own.

2) Tea Party voters consider it a badge of HONOR to be criticized by Rachel Maddow.

3) This is even bringing him to the attention of the "neo-con" Republicans, who might have been sceptical of him..... had it not been for GOP people DEFENDING him on this issue.

4) He is saying something NEW and anti-PC and the current climate is just right for this.

MAN oh MAN has this got "silver linings" all over it!

Side note as an example..... I was told by my father when the Civil Rights Act was passed that it would be the end of Private Property Rights down the road. HE is a Bill Buckley type Conservative and has taken no interest in the "Revolution",... but would be BEAMING at Rand's statements on this issue. This probably will make him take a whole new look at guys named "Paul"

I find myself continuiously second guessing

these mainstream media types. Rachel Maddow is not stupid by any stretch. No obtuse overtures leaving the viewer to wonder ? Overt in the extreme. She trying to help perhaps ?

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

Paid Talking Head

Rachel Maddow is a well paid talking head. If she wants to remain under contract, she has to satisfy those who pay her.
She's doing what most people do, looking out for herself.

and he has to bring the

and he has to bring the discussion back to the economy.
actively.
The whole AZ law thing and now Rand, it it pretty clear to me that the democrats want to talk about race all summer. Don't do it.
Even Bill Clinton said during the primaries about Obama: They are playing the race card, and they are planning to do it all along.
They have the sellout media to twist words, it is really a waste of time to respond.
Change the subject.

This is crazy

Rand doesn't need more exposure! The Rasmussen Poll shows him 25 points up. The people of Kentucky had made up their minds. With only 3% undecided it's difficult to improve.
Do you want Kentuckians to change their minds?
Should he snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?

WE should send thank yous

to Rachel! Classy, but appreciative.

I think it's funny and just

If it turns out that the more they try to label him a racist, the more popular Rand becomes! Don't know about you, but it's absolutely halarious to me!

You're right!

He is quickly becoming the "new Sarah Palin" to the insolent left wing of the mainstream media.

The insolent left wing of the mainstream media hasn't even figured out that Obama has no clear mandate from the American voter. They haven't figured out that the only reason Obama won was because he was running against John McCain. The insolent left wing of the mainstream media hasn't figured out
that the Tea Parties, far from being a small smattering of "nuts" and "kooks", are the swing group that will decide the next few national elections.

And they just made Rand the King of the Tea Parties this week.

It may turn out that the Tea Party actually has more

supporters and members than either the R's or the D's.

LOL

Yes THEY DID!

What makes it great

is that it is the SAME OLD SONG they have been playing for so long that they don't seem to know any other "tune". AND the American people are TIRED of HEARING it.. it's OLD and WORN and not being BOUGHT any more.

I agree!

People are tired of that same old race card crap and broken record! And they think they are so smart! I love it!

It's "Race Card or Die" for the Democrats at this point.

I tend to agree. What this does is it cements Rand Paul's image as a leader in the Tea Party movement, and it will spur on Rush Limbaugh types to defend the racism charge on the radio, which is cohesiveness you want if you're really serious about this "take back the GOP" thing.

I, of course, am a Third Party person, but if the Campaign for Liberty GOP strategy is to be followed, at least do it right.

Rand is a rising star now, thanks to liberal media attempts to marginalize him. Democrats are going to be invoking the Race Card over and over, as loudly as they can, in the next six months in a desperate attempt to stir up race-oriented voting at the polls. They'll have to, because Obama will be judged on the economy, the war, and civil liberties issues by his own base, unless they can stir up an enormous racial stink that will counteract the fired-up GOP voter tsunami in the making.

It's "Race Card or Die" for the Democrats at this point. If boy-who-cried-wolf syndrome kicks in and the public stops taking it seriously, they are in a world of trouble.

People in KY are more inclined to Rand's views

and not the media morons (MM not MSM)

Thank you Rachel Maddow!!!!

You're absolutely right. Let the statist smear machine keep on doing the only thing they're good for. It's pretty obvious that they offer no real solutions to America's problems, and can only dredge up red herring after red herring in order to marginalize candidates that offer any sort of real change. I have faith that people are waking up to this kind of manipulation, and it will only serve to galvanize support for Rand Paul.

"Free government is founded in jealousy, and not in confidence; it is jealousy and not confidence which prescribes limited constitutions." Thomas Jefferson, Kentucky Resolutions of 1798

if we have time..

we should thank her ourselves...thank her for the great attention she has called to Rand Pauls stance on limited government interference. And it was all based on a lie, told by Rands opponent, that msnbc fell for hook line and sinker.

Serves them right.

Dr. Tim Nerenz had this to say

about that!

"The Civil Rights Act of 1964? Why do we have to reopen that debate because of something one guy didn’t say on a program no one watched?"

I am finding it incredibly encouraging

to see how many people in various stages of awakening are SEEING THE POINT on the private property issue. I would NOT have expected that two years ago. It means that some stuff is sinking in and making people THINK.
