Rachel Maddow's Hypocrisy

Paul Watson on the AJ show made a great point about Rachel Maddow that I think needs further review. Rachel works for MSNBC which is owned by GE and Microsoft. Well, as most of you know, GE is a bomb and military hardware maker. So she is fine with collecting a salary from a bomb maker whose products are dropped on brown non-Christians in the Middle East to exterminate them but Rand Paul's views are racist? Her hypocrisy is shocking! Email her and let her know: rachel@msnbc.com

She is the female Chris Mathews

I've found her very annoying since she began. I dislike her smarmy, facetious, intonation and facial gestures. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, especially when she had some okay interviews with RP, but everything else has reaffirmed my distaste for her. She is smug and disingenuous. She needs to be taken down a few notches. She has become the female Chris Mathews. Thank the lord for the internet so I don't need to rely on the TV to know what is going on in the world.

Paul Watson did a great job

May I add, that it appears

May I add, that it appears that Rachel's whole life has been based on fighting for fraudulent organizations or fraudulent topics. See bio here: http://www.maddowfans.com/bio/

Her "political activism" against AIDS is laughable at best and proves how uninformed she is and how she lacks basic investigative journalism skills. Any principled investigative journalist that has ever given more than 1 hour of time to look into the AIDS epidemic would never in their life attach their name to activism that suggested Africa needed more Big Pharm solutions. This issue alone stands out as a huge red flag and might be the real reason she was accepted by the mainstream establishment. She is an obvious naive puppet and a darling for Corporate America.

The problem with the civil rights debate.

First of all what are "civil rights?" They are not rights at all, they are privileges given by the government.
The government cannot grant rights!

If a bill was written for the purpose of protecting infants, and that bill required that every person sell their house and belongings, and give the money to government to buy clothes and food for infants, it would be a bad bill, regardless of the intent. Of course someone like Maddow could come along and say "Rand Paul doesnt like infants because he wouldnt have supported this bill".

The government does NOT have the authority to force PRIVATE business to act in a particular manner. BUT, once the business becomes public, by welcoming the public into its facility, and by applying for and receiving a business license, then it is subject to regulation. This is why private membership clubs are legal. You cannot have a public restaurant that doesnt meet fire code, or head height restrictions, or Handicap accessible parking, or that refuses service to certain classes, BUT, if you open a restaurant on your private land without a business license, and without incorporating, etc, THEN you call the shots!

REMEMBER, when ever the State (or feds) are involved, it is no longer a right, it is a privilege. ie Marriage License, Drivers License, Building Permit, etc!

Good Points!

Good Points!

I suppose if one really wanted to delve,

MADcow being a Rhodes scholar, apparently her education to Oxford was paved with money from Trustfund of Cecil Rhodes built on Blood Diamond and gold, and true racist Apartheid policies in which he insistituted. Oh and wait, GE is the largest Military Industrial Contractor, by far. WTF does she think she gets her paychecks from? So, none to less existent institutionalized racism vs. REAL people being MURDERED every second we're occuplying 150 nations with 1000 bases, especailly in Iraq and AfPak, really 1000 deaths for ONE "taliban," who's in reality just another Afghani or Pakistani? Perhaps she should denounce her entire adult existence in which she benefited with racist's money indocrinated pedigree.

Really, L-R Paradigm stuck liberals really give a damn about anyone but themselves, in reality?

I find myself today in a LaLa land in which neoCONS are coming out of woodwork to defend Paul: Palin, Levin, InSANITY, WTF ??

Not that MADcow was all that open to nuance to begin with, coming from high academia, Rhodes Scholar that MADcow is, it would have been easy for someone like Rand to assume that he can truly discuss an issue, broadly with someone like her, despite the fact that, normally that'd be very uncharacteristic of someone from the MSM.

While I too had some reservations with Rand's Gitmo statement, and of all things to defend, a Corporatist MONOPOLY like UK-CROWN owned BP, I'm still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Don't know if it was CNN's Wolf Blitzer interviw, but Rand actually in his own words, says and admits that he's not as 100% principled as his dad.

What does that mean to this r3VOLutionary? It proved to me that he needed to play a bit of politics and just unite Kentuckyians around fiscal issues that matter to them, not so much overtly state his foreign policy stances. I don't know if he truly believes in what is stated via his functionaries on Gitmo & AfPak to be true, but very hard for me to believe that apple would fall that far from the tree. Of course, no one can truly confirm or deny it. We can only go by someone's actions. And reading in between the lines, the conclusion I've come to is that the son is about 90% in Ron Paul-ness.

I don't know if any of us in the movement, if running for Senate can truly, honestly with courage walk the line of 100% ideological purity. That said, win or lose, RJ Harris' initial response to Rand's Gitmo and AfPak statements, as posted on DP some time back, clearly tells me that win or lose, RJ and Adam Kokesh are closer to walking the talk on Freedom Principles than most anyone else running for office, within the r3VOLution. This is not to take anything away from Rand's efforts. He is by far the person with the best chance of influencing restoration to a Constitutional Republic that we have right now, as far as governmental occupational hierarchy is concerned. But once he's in and he turns his back on the Freedom Principles, a Paul or not, he will not get a single ounce of support from the likes of myself. However, I do not see that happening, afterall Ron Paul did raise the man, no?

What all this bruhaha over Rand's recent miscontrued and MSM propagandized comment suggest is, how INCREDIBLY BRAVE Dr.RON PAUL has been, all these years. This is the kinda sh*t he had to put up with, all these years, and yet he managed to stick to his convictions born of intense personal intellectual soul-searching. They are crystal clear in him, and his mind, body, and soul what he believes in. As contrarian as he may sound to the uninitiated, it only seems contrarian and unnatural, because we are all so surrounded in a sh*tpan unnatural artificiality, when someone real comes along, it embarasses us that most of the times, we cannot be that forthright and honest, in our own lives.

This whole episode has made me realize, even more so, how truly IMPORTANT Ron Paul is, in our time in history. No exaggeration, he IS the Thomas Jefferson of our times. His son clearly differentiated how one should strive to be, that indeed, son or not, there is only ONE Ronald Ernest Paul. Honesty with integrity is, in fact, the man's middle name. Who says humans don't grow up to reflect our given names?

The false L-R adherents are simply facing a case of guilt.

It was all hunky dory for the L-R paradigm stuck liberals to applaud the Pauls, as long as they were the minority and against GOP talking points, now with a strong chance of becoming someone with filibuster powers, they cringe. I hope their delusional intent to really "scrutinize" libertarianism would have the BLOW-BACK consequence of more people questing one of the core questions of the Freedom Movement, 'What should the role of govt. ought to be??' That in the aggregate, with impending dollar crisis, no one's gonna give a damn about this episode, try hard as Conway may want to make it.

Ah the feigned bullsh*t indignance on MADcow: "but it's not hypotehical to the people who were beaten..." In FACT, it IS hypothetical, by definition, because while injustices happen throughout history, at this particular time, techinically, legally institutionalized racism does NOT exist. As such, as with all these things, there comes a time when such injustice is not as ubiquitous, it CAN be discussed rationally, with nuance, by grown mature intelligent individuals.

Rand's mistake was that he gave her too much credit. Although, I think he should have pointed out ACLU defending Neo-Nazis, or ask her should we stop Mirandizing, because Miranda Rights were named after a rapist, which Miranda, the name-sake was? Does that mean every time we invoke our Miranda Rights, does that make us condone rape or rapists? It really makes one wonder, has deductive reasoning skills just left the planet in the last few decades? Seriously, MADcow, a Rhodes Scholar?? Really?

It just seems like the nation is truly on a fast track to Idiocrisy. We have bunch of imbeciles telling the intelligent how the world works. Oh vey!

Now I see the L. propaganda machine is using the race card to a point where a poor-misguided 10yr old black child is being race-pimped by what I can only guess as a moronic parent to write "why would I have to play in the negroe league" or something to that effect, on a posterboard, protesting in front of the GOP Unity luncheon. This to me is akin to someone who wrongly accuses another as a rapist, without any proof, and continue to harass him to prove himself otherwise. Truly Kafka-esque.

I thought idiocy, ditto-headedness, and neoCON lunacy ran rampant under GWB regime was bad. But reality is clearly panning out that the so called intellectually-enlightened liberals are not intellectuals, nor enlightend; if a Rhodes scholar cannot converse in nuance, suppose there's no room for it anywhere on MSM. Bunch of Sheeple.

Knee-jerkoffs that they are, they didn't hear anything about Rand ADAMENTLY stating that HE ABHORS racism and discrimination of ANY kind. He NEVER said he'd repeal CRA, nor ADA.

All they heard was "racist" and went into a system shutdown. They did the same thing to the Good Doc in Jan 2008, when the Zionist Lapdog Kirchick writing on behalf of AIPAC lackey Peres, then the owner of the NewRepublic(an), released those "newsletters." Being the simple sheep that they are, the worst thing to utter to a liberal who's a closet fascist is "x is racist," kinda hard to face oneself in the mirror eh? I felt saddened then that many antiwar liberals and independents would be, like clockwork, misguided and scared off into looking into who Dr.Ron Paul is really about, and killed his chance before it even begun.

It's clear now with Conway pre-set the agenda, and the neoLiBs and neoCONs orchestrated this just when the campaign was on the verge of exploding.

Unfortunately for them, I firmly believe that history will NOT be repeated, this time around. Like the Nazi card, the racist card has been overused, lost its efficacy. It ain't gonna work!

Has she had Senator Byrd on?

He filibustered the Civil Rights Act.

I can't imagine

why anyone would have ever given Rachel Maddow any attention.
She's never been worth the time to watch.

Her job is to provide

Her job is to provide commentary. Doesn't really matter who pays her, if she espouses a consistent POV she'd keep saying the same thing no matter who paid her, and I believe that to be the case.

Who is the hypocrite?

Rand Paul calls Rachel Maddow "intelligent" and says "I enjoy being on your show." The next day, Rand refers to MSNBC and, by inference, Rachel Maddow as "the looney left" and says he regrets ever appearing on her show.
Rand Paul makes a joint appearance with Ron Paul, and when Ron says he and Rand "essentially agree on major issues, Rand does not contradict Ron. Rand's campaign manager then says that Rand opposes immediate troop withdrawals from Iraq and Afghanistan and adds we must stay till we win (in other words, forever). Rand also issues a position paper supporting our "special relationship" with Israel and pledges to oppose any sanctions against Israel.

Don't let your affection for Ron Paul cloud your judgment about Rand. Rand Paul fails the character test at virtually every level and does not belong in the US Senate.

If Rachel Maddow is hypocrite for the reasons you state, then so am I. I work for a division of General Dynamics.

He was being courteous you dipshit.

He thought he was going to get a good interview.. instead he got that crock of shit question about overturning civil-rights which we all know he wouldn't do much less attempt or ever think about for that matter.

It's not even part of his campaign

If he votes for a dime of continued military funding he will have to deal with the grassroots supporters who brought him up in KY.

I think you're just trying to start division, I could be wrong, I highly doubt it.

Such an precise "character

Such an precise "character test at..every level" would make impossible to elect any liberty candidate. Good luck with that.

Precise character test?

Rand lied repeatedly. I still support RJ Harris, who is going to Afghanistan. I support Ron Paul, who "mealy mouths" on both 911 truth and Barack Obama's eligibility.

Compromise on key issues and character and you become the enemy. That's what Democrats did when they supported Woodrow Wilson and FDR.

Do you really think a

Do you really think a candidate can wear their heart on their sleeve and still receive attention except maybe for the sake of being ridiculed by the MSM?

If your answer is "yes" you learned nothing from RP's run for POTUS a few years ago.

Also, nitpicking over passing comments is juvenile. Maddow, even if controlled, is intelligent. Morons don't get their own shows.

Lied repeatedly you say.

ha. Hey why don't you go support Jack Conway on the Daily Kos.

yet you defend Rachel Maddow the General Electric war-pig. It should be no surprise she is attacking the peace candidate. Her paymasters are making a bundle killing brown people and all you can say is Rand is a Hypocrite?

Get Real.

My, all this "libertarian tolerance".

I suppose you'll REALLY love my video.

BTW, Jack Conway is advertising at this site, and I wouldn't support him either.

I guess they only act when the person being attacked is one of their chosen.

Yes, random or selective

Yes, random or selective enforcement seems to be the gold standard (no pun intended).

Thanks, Velveeta

I've created many commercials for liberty candidates and causes. My criticism of Rand was reluctant; however, his clear support of the "special relationship" with Israel and continuing to meddle in Iraq and Afghanistan is more than I can stomach.

My first gut-wrenching moment

My first gut-wrenching moment with the "Libertarian-Republican" movement was when Ron endorsed Chuck Baldwin for president, a most un-Libertarian choice. I suppose the more pure Libertarianism is adopted and shoehorned into the Republican and neo-con bag of tricks as a purely tactical choice the sucker-punches and nausea will increase in frequency. I've been feeling queasy for several years now. :P
