Granny Goes to the Tea Party
The sun comes up over the mountains of Southern Appalachia, where the Warriors are up early, gathering their belongings, packing, and preparing themselves for their journey, warpaint and all. mental checks, last minute preps and test runs, and as the fog clears, the gears shift, and the red, white and blue Ron Paul RV is set in motion. Armed with a CB radio and a message written on the back of the vehicle "Freedom Station - Tune to Channel 16!" they are ready to engage anyone listening in political discussions, and hopefully cure some apathy.
writing to you from the Ron Paul RV today, I'm Lady Liberty and I am asking every pissed off, passionate Patriot to step up and show yourselves, specifically those along the I-95 corridor, with large signs on overpasses and other places of maximum exposure. I want to see messages being spread, and never be afraid to engage people in discussions, challenging their political stances.
I'll be keeping you updated along the trip. If you are headed up to Boston or are anywhere along the way, feel free to tune in to our channel 16 and talk to us.
Also, we have a meetup group for the Asheville, NC area (http://ronpaul.meetup.com/467/?gj=sj5) We're traveling with the Granny Warrior, Chris Moore, Dane Randall, Jeremy Edmonds, Dawn Kurry, and Buddy the monkey.
yes, i said monkey.
anyways.
you'll be hearing more from me. i expect only the best from my fellow patriots!!

Almost home
It is 6 AM and we are parked outside the National HQ's office in Arlington. We want to congratulate them on the great work "WE" have all done for this campaign without a salary or expense account. When I say WE I mean all of us that daily work to support Dr. Paul, you, me everyone out there talking, handing out info and calling. I was also curious about what a $65,000 office looks like. So far I am not very impressed, it doesn't look like the best part of town to be sure. We will be taking photos of everyone there and asking some questions hoping for sound answers.
We are all bone tired, the trip from Boston to here was awful, wind that nearly wiped us off the road constantly and rain. Here is is at least clear and while cold we can see where we are going anyway. There was so much salt on the RV the rain was welcome really. The salt still had to be scraped from the windsheild so Chris could see to drive... How the people up north can live with this kind of weather is hard for a old southerner to understand.

Granny sighting on CNN
Speaking the truth about our freedoms...just awesome. However CNN still pushing the non truth about RP supporters still wanting him to run as an independant. They also showed the snowman with RP's face on it. That was "cool"
Calling all Paulites with TIVO
We just recieved word that the Tea Party in Boston made CNN. They apparently showed the parade through the streets of Boston with the Freedom RV bringing up the rear! During the parade we played a sinatra tune that a talented individual rerecorded as a Ron Paul song. The CNN piece then went to an interview with the Granny Warrior in the freedom RV. So this is a call out to internet land, can somebody with TIVO post a link to the video on this thread. Thank you fellow patriots!

On the road again
Well we are back on the road with scanner scott at the wheel. We will be driving all night and into the morning. We will hopefully be back in the Carolina's by 1 or 2 in the afternoon. The rally was excellent! Even in 10 inches of snow, rain, and sleet, a few hundred showed up. Some supporters built a snowman and put a cut out photo of Ron Paul on the snowmans head, funny stuff. We then marched several blocks to Faneuil hall. We had the freedom wagon following the crowd and scanner scott rigged up the wagon so it would play a Frank Sinatra type Ron Paul song. The crowd that showed up were from all different parts of the country and even some foreigners. With our signs and fists raised we finally made it to Faneuil hall where we heard Rand Paul speak a while. They are expecting a little more bad weather up here in Boston so we decided to book it. We would really love to stay another night in Boston since any time away from rural Sylva, NC is always exciting. We want to thank everybody that has helped fund our trip and especially all of you who have donated today! This would not be possible without you guys. We are not just the internet, WE ARE THE REVOLUTION!!!

Winding down...
So, folks, this has been quite eventful! after all the rallying in the snow, sleet, rain and freezing winds that should have kept us back but didn't slow us down one bit, after tons of excitement and a few unsettling encounters with some people who were a bit strange, we're ready to pack down and head out. the plan is to get some warm food and then hit the road!
more later..

"F#@& this SNOW!" - Granny Warrior
What a beautiful day to be in Boston! We have wiped the sleep from our eyes and are anticipating the reveolutionary activities of the day. We will be live on Ron Paul Radio on and off today interviewing fellow supporters regarding their participation in this Revolution past, present, and future. Make sure to tune in and listen to the Party live! Thank you for all the comments and donations once again Granny cannot do this without all of our support. Sorry we couldnt post anything yesterday. We made it to the Holiday Inn and we left to go into the city where we stayed all day. We went on a tour of the Samuel Adams brewery. We then went down to a local pub called Doyles. The pub was the first one to ever have Sam Adams beer on tap. Chris and others were engaging and passing out information to various people. We've met some characters, thats for sure! After having some lagers, we went down to fanieul hall to have a look around. We came back a few hours of sleep so we can plan and prepare for the tea party. It has snowed about 6 inches already and it's looking hairy. All the freedom warriors are checking out of the hotel and hopping on the wagon. It will be our command station all day during the tea party. We will keep everybody updated as we plan to go downtown. We will try to get some pictures of the tea party in action here later in the day. this day sure is going to be one for the books!!!!

It's Snowing, It's Sleeting ( Oh what a mess)
It is 11 AM and we are waiting for the meet up organizer to come meet us and try to lead us to the State house and then on to Fanieul hall and the Tea party. This should prove very very interesting with the snow and sleet. Believe me if anyone at all shows up it will be a real eye opener for everyone in this country to see the dedication of the Ron Paul people.
Every one is here inside now just waiting for the snow plow. Lets hope it gets here shortly.. we are READY.. even with a hand full of Ibuprophen and a ciggerette, two cups of coffee me and Arthur Ritus is ready for this wet cold.. Lets hope I just don't run out of the Ibuprophen.,
SEE YOU AT THE TEA PARTY.

senior battle cry
OMG this is the most incredible quote from this thread:
"i would nap, but i'm sort of in the middle of a REVOLUTION!!"
--granny warrior
This quote needs to be printed up on T-shirts, baseball caps, and buttons for our senior warriors! Who says it's only the young men who go off to battle??
Jesus is my Lord and my God, and Ron Paul, champion of all things freedom, including religion and the free exercise thereof, is my choice for president.
the napper
I'm glad you enjoyed that quote, but i would like you to know that the writer is only 20 years old haha! I've been posting updates under Granny's name, since it's easier to use her account, and everyone knows the name.
maybe i'll make a few t-shirts, if i do i'll send one your way!

God Bless you all!!!
IF ANYBODY HAS A LITTLE EXTRA CASH...Send the GRANNY's a little gas at their website. A quick $20 ads up from each of us! THey are doing what we all wish we could be doing. I have a job, and can't leave, but I kicked in!!
Granny We are begging for photos!!!!!!
I just donated too!
God Bless you Granny Warriors and keep you safe!
What you are doing for our revolution is so important and we appreciate all of your sacrifices.
Good Morning Boston!
Just want to thank everyone for their prayers, we made it safely and we slept soundly! Not a single flake of snow has come down while we've been here and so far so good! Danger Dane cooked us a fabulous breakfast of burritos, and i found some awesome fig jam in the fridge that had a story to go with it, just as everything else in the Freedom RV does! Tim woke me up with a phonecall around 8:00 am, very concerned that he hadn't heard from his wife, and before we knew it we had some coffee going.. we're on our way now to Historic Downtown and we're taking lots of pictures on the way. at some point today we'll be uploading some footage from the journey, figuring out the editing program on this computer and hopefully getting it on YouTube!! I'll let yall know.
Boy, i sure do miss that southern twang right about now.. :)

We've Reached!!!
Just letting everyone know that at 4 am we have finally reached Boston! we've decided to sleep in the Freedom RV because well.. it's too early/late to get a hotel/motel room and we'll save that money for tomorrow night. We're having a small, celebratory moment, a brief time of reflection, voicing concerns we had that are now erased, asking new challenges of each other, and the last high-fives for the night (there have been thousands of high-fives). One last cigarette, some brief planning for tomorrow, and getting cozy and snuggled in. The snowbanks are at least 4-5 feet high, piled along the side of the road, and I'm wondering what sort of weather we'll wake up to in a few hours. Major props to both Chris and Scanner Scott, each drove for looong stretches. we left at 8:30 am and 4 am we have arrived where it all began.
signing off from the Freedom Station,
good night my fellow patriots!

Small Celebration???????
Let me tell you all something. Small Celebration? I would hate to see a big one.. Me being old, tired, worn out and cold as a toad in a deep well had crawled into bed with Buddy under about 3 blankets with the furnace blasting away also. It must have been way after day light when I finally heard silence and snoring. Those kids have a very high energy level let me tell you that... After hours and hours of talking on the CB with Truckers both Chris and Scott should be totally talked out, NOT A CHANCE. While I don't drink I never said a word when they broke out a 6 pack and toasted everyone for their good work and buddy let me tell you one thing they did do good work. We made record time ( the old Freedom wagon kind of whined once in a while) and we got here without even a scratch or ding. I felt safe enough with these drivers that I even went back to the bedroom and laid down about 10 PM last night with Buddy to sleep my way to Boston and it would have worked too if NY, Con., Ma had all had good roads but at the speed limit ( and I don't even want to think how fast we were going) when you hit a bump it would thow you out of bed. Once Buddy wound up on my face hanging on like he was being slung out of a sling shot. It was rather funny until I realized he had been scared even more than I thought.. His diaper had to be changed immediately or I would have had to breathe those deadly fumes.
Today we have rented a room, that will give us all a bed to sleep in, so we will have a good nights rest. The day has gone so fast, of course we all slept away most of it. After a hot bath, clean clothes and some of Dane's breakfast ( that boy can really cook) and a few cups of freshly brewed coffee everyone felt like a new person. The kids took off with some others from NC that have come up for the party to check out the Brewery? Yeah I know, dangerous place for young people to hang out at. Actually I have no doubt they will all behave and act like well mannered People who have some respect for them selves as well as Dr. Paul. It was just too cold for me to even consider going out and sight seeing. I had rather sit here and make buttons, straighten up the RV and just listen to the quiet.. Do you all have any idea of how noisy 5 young Ron Paul supporters are? I don't think so. Everytime someone on the CB would answer postitvely about Dr. paul there went up a cheer in the RV. They had so much fun and made a lot of new converts plus half of the truckers in the NE now know to go and look up Dr. Paul ...the only thing we kept laughing at was Scott, he kept saying Dr.Paul had given birth to over 4,000 babies...They kept telling him..the word is "DELIVERED" lol...
We have had a exciting trip and it hasn't really started yet.
Lady Liberty has been keeping you updated but she is out galavanting around town right now so you will have to deal with my words for a change

Negativity a No-no
I'm seeing some serious negativity on some of these threads and it's doing two things to me: it's bringing my hope down a notch.. and it's making me want to fight harder..
maybe it's a good thing, because it brings out my passion and it makes me want to go straight out the door, straight for anything that will brind my country closer to the truth, closer to a peaceful, elevated mature society that can take care of itself and can take responsibility for itself like real adults... but there really is no need. certainly i would feel this way no matter what.. but it breaks my heart when i hear doubt and negativity and pessimism, especially from people who call themselves fellow supporters..
there's something wrong with that picture..
We're in the 11th hour of losing this nation.. there is no room for cynicism and defeatism.. it's now or never and now sounds pretty damn good to me.
