When is it supposed to take off today?

Jesus is my Lord and my God, and Ron Paul, champion of all things freedom, including religion and the free exercise thereof, is my choice for president.

Hope for America

As I watched the video I was reminded how fitting it is since balloons have always been a symbol for hope. I am just surprised that it took its launch for me to realize how symbolic this blimp is to the grass roots campaign.

WE DO HAVE HOPE FOR AMERICA AND RON PAUL IS IT.
Not the usual politicians or the old stream media!

AWESOME.

That was beautiful

I was laughing with joy so hard I had tears in my eyes! What I felt watching that blimp lift off was like watching your home town win the Super Bowl and the World Series all at once...

We're really going to do this, aren't we? They have no IDEA how many of us are out here and they are going to be stunned when we overrun every primary and caucus... I _cannot_ WAIT to see their smugness melt into stunned disbelief after we finish top 3 in IA & SC, and win in NH and NV!

Hitlery can go fly a kite.

Maybe fruity Rudy can afford one of those styrofoam planes that you throw in the air. A batkite might be more fitting seeing how he resembles Nosferatu. And hitlery can always fly on a broom.

LOVE IT!!!!

I especially like the Final Fantasy sound track. I remember from playing it about 8 years ago.

Anyone think the banner looks kind of small?

I'm not trying to shoot down anyone's efforts (I think the blimp is great even though the grassroots -> LLC transition was butchered). Still, doesn't it look like the majority of the blimp is not being used while meanwhile it's hard to see the text on all of the videos. Will people on the ground be able to read the sign?

I agree, i though it would

I agree, i though it would be bigger.

I saw the BLIMP!

I went down to SC tonight and saw the blimp at the airport. It looked loney. I only assume everyone passed out after a hard days work. I was hoping for a party but didn't happen.

Oh well, I got to see it and I'm happy. The blimp is HUGE!

Thank God the cavlary showed up

You think that yankee was welcome down in dixie?

We want it more than they do so we have OUR cavalry escort OUR blimp.

I MEAN WHO THE HELL HAS CAVALRY AND A BLIMP...HUH?

I love you people..."I want to do a Ron Paul blimp"...."OK!"

You can't write this stuff.

Proposed Flight

After hitting up Columbia, the blimp should come down the coastline through Charleston, and down here to the Hilton Head / Savannah Region. This area is booming with retirees, working folk, and plain old rich people. Either way, they all have a lot of influence and should be influenced by a fly-over. Winning SC would be amazing!

Hilton Head

There are a scores of ritsy golf courses all along that region, especially in the Hilton Head area and the whole beach front would be great too. I know a few folks that live down in that area and I'd give them a heads-up to look skyward on the back 9. LOL...

Love the music

I love the Final Fantasy 3 Cid Airship music. Its fabulous.

yes

i concur!!!!!! i was trying hard to remember where it came from.
then i all came rushing back - 7th grade, no homework, mint chocolate chip ice cream, staying up late with my friend eric, saving the world.

Total AIR SUPERIORITY

We now have control of the air war. Hitlery has no air force. Ghouliani has no aircraft. I bet fruity Rudy's panties will be in a bunch now. Who's laughing now Rudy? Me ! HA HA HA

Bring the Blimp to Florida

Let's get the real blimp down where the sun is shining and the Paul support is HUGE. We will rally all the Florida Grassroots, everywhere the blimp goes. We have local media contacts all over. I just got off the local talk radio where I gave a half hour interview on the campaign. We've had great press coverage here and in St. Pete. We have a number of bowl games coming up:

Champs Sports - Orlando, FL Dec. 28/5 p.m. Boston College vs. Michigan State ESPN
Outback - Tampa, FL Jan. 1/11 a.m. Wisconsin vs. Tennessee ESPN
Gator - Jacksonville, FL Jan. 1/11 a.m. Virginia vs. Texas Tech CBS
Capital One - Orlando, FL Jan. 1/11 a.m. Michigan vs. Florida ABC
Orange Bowl - Miami, FL Jan. 3/8 p.m. Virginia Tech vs. Kansas

Think of all the people who will watch these games. We will have huge coverage. THINK ABOUT IT.

Here is the thread that proposes a path through South Carolina. Let's plan a path through Florida too.

CNN

CNN just showed us in double digits in the SC polls (11%) and they showed the blimp launch for a few seconds.

HEY GUYS, CNN's GONNA COVER IT AFTER THE COMMERCIALS TUNE IN NOW

BTW, they're gonna put the other side up soon.

Why only one side?

Did the other banner not get put on ?I only see one side.

About the nix on Boston

My honey and I were able to do a small favor for the Ron Paul Blimp team the other night, and in consequence, we got to meet and chat briefly with Trevor, Elijah, and Daniel.

They are seriously dedicated guys putting everything they've got into this. They've done the impossible in just a few weeks. And they told us that they're having to learn about blimps as they go.

One thing they learned from the pilots, they said, is that a blimp can't risk flying in icy or snowy situations. The weight of accumulation can cause the blimp to spin or tilt. Much more seriously, though, ice on the blimp's fabric can cause tears. And one blimp runs $5 million. So that's a risk to life and fortune that neither our guys nor the blimp pilots and owners are willing to take.

With a snowstorm due in Boston and environs this weekend, it just wasn't safe for the team or the project as a whole to head that way.

While I wish for everyone's sake that communications about the blimp's itinerary changes had been better, I've been lucky enough to get a taste of what the team is up against, and I hope you'll all join me in honoring them for what they're achieving. :-)

Thank you

for the update. This is a good perspective to hear.

To Iowa and New Hampshire

I hope they can fly that thing to Iowa and land in front of the Des Moines Register.

Hopefully this thing can stay in the air over New Hampshire as well.

Blimp

Fly that baby right through the middle of the USA on Interstate 70. Have meetups all along the route and at the major stop off cities. I would drive down from northern Indiana. I'm sure folks from both sides of the Interstate would make the trip. Hell, you'd get caravans of cars following it on the route. I'd volunteer to "chase" it for a couple of hours. Swing it up through Iowa!

Great idea!!!!!!!

I live about a mile from I-70 so I'd get to see it from my house!

Blimp path

The majority of the population in the country is near the water, so it would make much more sense to travel the coastline. A trip to Michigan and Illinois before heading south would be beneficial, but don't think that is plan nor could they count on weather. It would be nice to have some mini-blimps running from Cali to Texas as there just won't be time to cover the country before Super Tuesday with this one.

HOLY CRAP

HOLY CRAP YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Collectivism is slavery.

Get that thing to the Super Bowl !!

If the weather sucks on the east coast, fly that thing over the southern states, TEXAS, and on to ARIZONA for the Super Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, etc. A LOT of delegates are available from these states on "Super Tuesday" Feb. 5th. BE HERE NOW!
