Just Got On Neil Boortz Show..
Submitted by stormshadowdivx on Fri, 12/14/2007 - 12:04Just wanted all to know that I just got to call in to the Neil Boortz show, a syndicated radio program based out of Atlanta, and he let me apologize for Ron Paul crazies who were abusive to him (not that they don't feel justified in doing so). I say apologize but it was more like an explanation that they were the minority and to not judge the Cup by the Contents it holds. I explained to him that so many people are frustrated and they don't express their anger in productive ways. I got him to admit we are not all kooks and conspiracy loons. He claims to be a liberatarian but he has bought into the war propaganda. I told him it didn't matter which side of the war anyone was on..it still would bankrupt us as a country if we continue much longer. Anyone who listens to the show knows he goes off on most listeners who disagree with him but he was mostly fair and gave me plenty of air time. This forum has made me a little more aware of how to talk to people about Ron Paul who strongly disagree and it helped!!!
Just a small word of encouragement to continue fighting the "good" fight.
RON PAUL! RON PAUL!
PS. I was suprised to get in and had to wait 30 min on hold but we can get the real message out.

Neo-Conned!
I like listening to Neal, but was surprised when I learned that he wasn't supporting Ron Paul because of the war issue. I see the same with Glenn Beck. Even Hannity, Medved, Savage, etc. are in the same boat. So too are the neo-con candidates.
America fell for the trap. We have succumbed to fear. We have allowed the terrorists to coerce us by fear into a preemptive war. A war that is costing us lives, economic stability and is breeding ever more hatred towards us.
If we continue to stay the course, where does this lead us? It leads us to being a resented nation in an economic depression with a demoralized military. Now who's winning the War on Terror?

Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you.

Boortz co-wote the Fairtax book, thus no time for Paul
Boortz talked the Libertarian talk for years.
But when 9/11 happened, he became another war monger...totally backing the neo-cons despite their liberal spending and taxing. He used to rail against one-issue voters, but he has become one.
Also, he co-wrote the Fairtax book, so he likes Huckabee bringing it to the debates...even though Boortz knows Huckabee is a monster tax raiser.
Huckabee is not Fair Tax
Duncan Hunter is Fair Tax
Repeat
Duncan Hunter is Fair Tax
Duncan Hunter is Fair Tax
Duncan Hunter is Fair Tax
Duncan Hunter is Fair Tax

(You'll have to find his name)
Huckabee said it, got a reponse, and now he is running with it.
He probably doesn't know what it is.
Unfortunately, he is taking credit for it being his idea.
Great job!!
I used to listen to Neal ALL the time - then I moved and they don't have an affiliate out here (I still go to his site often). It's great that you got your points made - I definitely know how he can be on those who try to argue with him. I have to say I was a big fan of Neal until he started endorsing Mike Huckabee. I can't put that one together other than the fact that Huck advocates the Fair Tax and Boortz wrote the book on it ... other than that I can't believe he isn't more supportive of RP.
Neal is just another Chickenhawk Neocon
I wrote a polite email to Neal about his comments about Ron Paul supporters. I got insults in return. How professional!
But what else should I expect? After all Neal is another Neocon Chickenhawk Rush-wanna-be and nothing more.
Why is it that most of the popular radio talk-show hosts are chickenhawks? They all talk the talk, but apparently were too chicken to ever walk the walk.
i think so
That seems to be his motivation I think. He has been talking about the fair tax for years and I can see his angle for liking him.
What's more frustrating is
What's more frustrating is that many of us who are libertarians came around to it while listening to Boortz. I love the guy, even when I disagree with him. His lack of support for RP is pretty much along the same lines as Glenn Beck's.
Good on you man.
THis campaign is indeed a teaching tool for effective communication and persuasive speech. It has also given many of us a thick skin and when we hear an offensive statement which bothers us, we address it with rational logical reasoned arguments because we see firsthand how debate stops and walls come up when insults are thrown.

I wote him a polite email
I wrote him a polite email and got insults in return. Neal is a Neocon chickenhawk pretending to be a Libertarian.
He is not nor is he likely to ever be a "friend".
Right on
I think I heard you on there.. good job!

awesome bro thanks!
We need to continue showing the media that we're not all a bunch of CT nuts. Explain to them our views with respect and solid arguments.
