Poll Schmoll, but Look at This Development in SC!
I'm of the opinion that when applied to Ron Paul's campaign, scientific polls are pretty much useless. That's because all the "likely voters" these polls survey are all people who were registered Republican voters in the last election. This means that all the NEW voters on RP's side, as well as all the Dem's supporting him are not counted. I think that is a VERY large number of people and growing rapidly.
That said, a new poll out today shows him making huge gains with the "likely voters" too! Yes, Republicans who voted in the last election are getting our message. He's up from 2% to 11% in the key primary state, South Carolina...

The results were:
Mike Huckabee: 24 percent
Fred Thompson: 17 percent
Rudy Giuliani: 16 percent
Mitt Romney: 16 percent
John McCain: 13 percent
Ron Paul: 11 percent (Up from 2% in July!)
Duncan Hunter: 1percent
Tom Tancredo: 1percent
No opinion: 3 percent
Yes, he is still 7th among these "likely voters" but just 6% from the #2 spot. When you add in all the new voters RP has on his side, and Dem's he now has, he could soar right to the top. We'll find out in Jan. and Feb. just how well he'll do. I think the old media is in for a new surprise.
Keep at it RP supporters, all our efforts are paying off!

Woo Hoo!

11% and rising! excellent!
This is very good news indeed. Haha, 7th place good news?? Yep, in this case, you're right that the percentages and the rise in *our* percentage is good news! When we're the choice of 11% of the Bush neocon Kool-Aiders, we're definitely catching on! :-)
Edit: hey, that's 6th, not 7th!
