To those that claim the Blimp was a total waste ...

It worked for Goodyear and it's working for Ron Paul. The blimp is a fantastic success, and the mini blimps are great too. It's an excellent use of funds, considering the publicity it's generated. People love blimps, especially little kids.

The stupidity of this comment is amazing.

This silliness needs to stop. I've not read anywhere that critics of the blimp have claimed that they money was anyone's but the owners. They are simply expressing an opinion that the money spent on the blimp was not the most efficient use of money for the purpose of electing Ron Paul.

You want to spend your money any way you want to spend it? Go for it. But if you're going to read these boards, then you're going to see people have opinions on things. Get over it. It's their right to do so just as much as it is your right to spend your money however you want.

Seriously, I think people who make posts like this (and there have been quite a few like this in connection to the blimp) think that they are somehow defending liberty because it's their money. It's rather ridiculous.

I have counted 6 newspaper articles. It hit the AP wires so that means there could have been 30-40 more in small papers. It got three TV news mentions

AND THIS WAS BEFORE IT TOOK OFF.

I have been in marketing all my life. A CNN mention with clip? Are you kidding me? Do you know how much that would cost? People are making AD suggestions, look at how much they cost.

The blimp has already brought in a million in PR. Who knows what it will bring over the next month?

Don't condemn an act until you have the research to refute it.

Numbers are only guesses at best, however, regardless if you feel it is a waste of money the exposure and help with fundrasing will be evident!
I'm betting on this example of the numbers will be higher. The donations maybe slightly smaller, BOTTOM LINE ITS GONNA HELP OUT!

Ron Paul is OUR "Boston Teal Party"

The series of rallies planned with the blimp in NH will be a huge media event. The attention will give us the push we need up here. Things are looking great. Can wait for the Tea Party. Let it snow!

If only because the attention it has recieved on MSM would probably have cost as much as the blimp. And it's only now off the ground. Think of all the coverage it will get on local tv when it comes to town.

We need more blimps. Is someone else also trying to get another one off the groud. I really believe that Ron will win the primary.

An Air Force requires more then one aircraft. Lets dump $10mm for the tea party and another $400k for a west coast blimp.

Just watched more videos and the BLIMP is just causing all kinds of positive reaction. It is absolutely phenominal. And no, I am not connected to the blimp in any way. It is really phenominal. First unfettered hope I have listened to from the media. Go BLIMP! So Ron Paul.

Saw it covered on the news FOX tonight in a totally positive way. We never get an all positive report, so it was amazing. Yep, I helped pay for it after maxing on the main campaign, so I am just enjoying it. It is excellent I think. I hope it flies and flies and flies.

bet you won't feel it was a waste after watching it fly over a jam packed football stadium with 100,000 screaming fans on one of the major network nightly news!
