It is high time we start Loving and Praying....

The powers that be have us focused on negative energy and negative events.

We must change this, Life is a self fulfilling prophecy.

Negative thoughts produce negative results.

Positive thoughts produce positive results.

Never under estimate the power of prayer, it is our own individual connection with the Universe, or God, if you will.

We may be headed for tough times, but we should help each other as brothers and sisters.

The time for the government honoring itself will soon be at an end.

There was a dream that was America, and by god we will see that dream realized.

My apologies for the 'gladiator' rip-off.

“The most important element of a free society, where individual rights are held in the highest esteem, is the rejection of the initiation of violence.” Dr. Ron Paul

Christians need to take a new tact

One that divorces them from the Old Right and Churchianity.

I teach Conscious-Sleep (which in essence is Meditation) to both Christians and Atheists alike (separate meetings hahaha).

1st by respecting differing views / states of mind

2nd by not falling into the traps or using trigger words

3rd by focusing on technique and simple science

4th staying away from topics on religion or politics

5th expousing individualism which both groups seem to want more of

If I can do it so can you.

For Christians -- actually attain a Christ-Centered heart and mind before you ever speak of it and when you do leave out all religious connotations and come up with your own language -- talk in terms of science and ethics. If Christ is one with everything and you are one-with Christ then you will be able to couch your experiences in terms of science which is a far more expressive language that old-old-old english.

For Athiests -- get your ethics and morality in order and understand that a Christian-Individualist is your friend and will never force anything on you. Learn to differentiate between them and the Christian-Collectivist.

Always darkest before the dawn

I'm in agreement with you SirFelix. The negative results I try to avoid on a daily basis have nothing to do with wet dreams, traffic jams or bee stings; or any other subjective outcome.

Maintaining a positive outlook may not change the world one iota but becoming bogged down in negativity will paralyze me too the point of surrender. Rather than see the situation as hopeless and wash my hands of it I will do my best to seek gratitude for the aspects of my life that are most important, namely the shared experience of life with my friends and family.

Only a positive outlook can enable me to continue speaking out about liberty to others, donate to candidates and work for change. My prayers are not in the form of kneeling and kissing, they are witnessed by my actions.

I'm not delusional enough to believe I can just pray for positive results, and get enough people to pray along with me to change the outcome. Or am I?

Isn't that what this whole Revolution is about?

Isn't it working?

Law Of Attraction (TheSecret) Debunked 101

Please let us no longer remain prone to believing in hoaxes which have been thoroughly debunked years ago. Believing in a hoax like the law of attraction as evangelized in the book/video called The Secret, can cost you your life, and even help the power elite reign in the New World Order with little resistance, as there are many people who fail to act responsibly due in part to such misconceptions.

Law Of Attraction (The Secret) Debunked 101

As many of you know, presented in The Secret is the claim that the law of attraction works every time, so long as there is sufficient passion used in projecting a specific future outcome as though it has already taken place. Yet it is so easy to show that this simply cannot be true, as seen in the following 3 examples:

1) Almost every teenager at some point fantasizes about having passionate sexual relations with a celebrity. Their thoughts are so passionate in this endeavor that in many cases it even results at some point in a wet dream, at which point the mind is fooled (at least for a time) totally (and with as much passion as humanly possible) into believing the entire experience is real. Yet very rarely do these individuals actually end up having sexual relations with a celebrity in their lifetime.

2) Consider the person who every morning is deluged in fear of being late to work, and even finds themselves passionately speeding each day. Does this fear really become self fulfilling on a consistent basis for most/all such people? Does such fear really create traffic jams on a consistent basis? Is it the case that NONE of these people live in areas which only have occasional traffic jams? Are we to be gullible enough to believe that such people NEVER EVER actually make it to work on time? Conversely are people who lack such concerns able to avoid traffic jams as the law of attraction would also assert? Is it possible that a long traffic jam may include people from both camps? If so we are left with a fear/no fear paradox in which the law of attraction cannot possibly hold true.

3) Do most people who passionately fear the possibility of being stricken with a deadly snake or spider bite actually end up being killed by such causes (keep in mind that year after year the number one cause of death is doctors, who most people do not even fear)? Many such paranoid people may also fear the possibility of dying from a deadly disease, and/or a natural disaster like a tornado or being struck by lightening. So if the law of attraction is true will such a person inevitably die from one of these causes, and not from something unanticipated, like a freak accident, a mistake made by a doctor, or some other unanticipated thing? And what positive outcome did the law of attraction yield for all the ignorant and/or positive people of old who refused to fear the alleged coming of the great flood which has been documented by practically all cultures? The reality is that only the people who feared enough for their lives had any chance of surviving. What about the person who is equally afraid of each of the above scenarios? Will this person then at some point die of all such scenarios simultaneously? Do any of you seriously believe any of this stuff?

Folks, I'm here to tell you that if anything, it is far more likely that opposites attract, which stands in direct opposition to the law of attraction which asserts that negative thoughts yield negative consequences, and that positive thoughts (to the point of ignorance) yield positive results.

I mean think about it. If I am ignorant or unafraid of getting a bee sting and therefore decide to go mostly barefoot, odds are I will at some point get a bee sting on my foot - right? Conversely if I fear getting a bee sting and therefore always wear shoes when outside, the odds are that I will never get a bee sting on my foot - right?

Yet even though these things are self evident as shown above, many people still cling to their tendencies to cite an isolated string of luck or two, and subsequently claim erroneously that these events prove (at least to them) that the law of attraction really works. The obvious response to this is - SHOW ME THE SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE.

And then there are the camps of people who say that the law of attraction cannot be taken as black and white but rather exists in the area of gray. They may also say that many people have not yet learned to tune into, and therefore utilize to their benefit, the energy of the universe, and may also cite several people who they believe can. And so again, the obvious response to this is - show me the scientific evidence. Without citing any knowledge of control group scientific evidence these people make no argument of substance, but rather instead show they have chosen to be deceived. It's like the blind leading the blind.

I mean lets be honest people, is it REALLY proper or in the best interest of the public, for anyone to publish to the world a theory void of any convincing statistics or application of the scientific method? Is it not clear that without any convincing proof that the theory actually works (even if only under some disclosed set of circumstances), that the theory then has NO ESTABLISHED VALUE? Yet this is exactly what I claim the authors of The Secret have done; they have published to the world a theory that has no established value.

And for those of you who like to make the area of gray argument, at what point will you acknowledge the law is not worth the time and effort put into it (and therefore stop making arguments in support of it)? For example, if science could somehow show that the theory gives you no better odds than flipping a coin would you then continue to try and utilize this theory in your day to day life? If you knew that you could only win at black jack 5% or 1% of the time would you continue to play black jack with your hard earned money? My point is that even if you could win 50% of the time (or possibly even slightly higher) it would still be a foolish endeavor because there are far better returns which can be made by embarking upon more tried and true ventures (like getting a job or starting a business for example).

Clearly the theory would not be so gray if only a simple experiment like the following were tried. Take two groups of say 20 people in each group, where people in one group were thought to be proficient in utilizing the theory, and the other 20 are picked at random. Give each group say a year (or some other predetermined period of time) to try their darnedest using the law of attraction to achieve some seemingly difficult goal, like increasing monetary wealth by 20 percent or more. Then compare the results between the groups. In this case I think the best control group would be to compare each persons percent wealth gain with the average wealth gain for persons in their local geographical area. The results would then speak for themselves. The fact that the authors of The Secret have not cited any such evidence really does speak loudly, and for all intents and purposes shows that they were knowingly peddling (and for large profit) what can only be construed as lies and deception on a world-wide scale. Such an act, if you ask me, is nothing short of CRIMINAL.

But even equipped with all the information presented above there are still people who will say something along the lines of - OK, but don't you think if we appear happy and smiley and projecting positive energy we will attract positive results? And my response to them is yes, and indeed what this shows is that the proper use of sales and marketing really DOES work, something no one will deny. This is something we all knew long before 'The Secret' was ever published. So what does this have to do with the law of attraction? It seems to me that these people are making the case that the law of attraction, and sales and marketing are one and the same, in which case perhaps the book should have instead been called "Sales and Marketing", which of course would not be perceived as a 'secret' to anyone.

Furthermore, it seems apparent to me that many if not most successful sales people and smiling face politicians are not truly happy inside, but rather are merely actors successfully projecting a false image of being happy. If you think about it, lying in this way is firmly rooted in our culture practically whenever we greet people. Regardless of how you actually feel it seems the expected response is something along the lines of "Oh I've never been better" or some such fallacy. The point is that most people tend to smile moreover out of fear of what will happen to them if they do not. And no doubt in most cases it probably does work, and to the extent that it does, does not bode well for the claims made in the law of attraction.

But really, the only thing that distinguishes the law of attraction from sales and marketing is the idea that you can somehow mentally tap into the energy of the universe and magically get some specific result. Yet to my knowledge no one has shown any scientific evidence to support this claim, so why are so many people kidding themselves?

In a nutshell, regarding the highly orchestrated advancement of the New World Order, we can EITHER collectively choose to remain Ignorant/Uninformed/Happy (having no fear!) and remain non-participants as we watch the Constitution and all of our God given rights pass away right before our eyes, OR we can choose to collectively DO SOMETHING, which is what I am asking.

So yes, please DO fear the readily apparent advancement of the NWO (New World Order) and therefore acknowledge your responsibility to be informed and take any and all appropriate actions (not the least of which is sharing what you know with others) which you anticipate may yield positive results. For it is solely for lack of knowledge that we the people collectively volunteer to grant any and all power to the NWO.

Thank you.

The Secret Debunked 101 - Addendum

Movies Apparently Made For The Purpose Of Spreading New Age Propaganda:

- The Secret (Law Of Attraction)
- Water-The Great Mystery
- What The Bleep Do We Know
- The Zeitgeist Movies

In the movie Water-The Great Mystery there are many silly claims which seem to be backed up by nothing. People really ought to see red flags when sources dubbed as 'scientists' (like Masaru Emoto with his emotion prayed water crystals) make no claims of double blind or repeatability testing having been performed, or even of the need to do so. Experiments lacking such testing cannot be considered scientitic in nature, and in conducting such experiments these people paint themselves out to be crackpots. The movie is also riddled throughout with New Age pseudoscience propaganda similar to what we saw in the movie What The Bleep Do We Know. People need to wake up and realize that the whole new age religion movement traces back to the Luciferian theosophy of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (1831-1891), which plays right into the agenda of the New World Order movement. The apex of the New Age propaganda deception machine came to us in the form of the immensely popular Zeitgeist movies, and was based upon the work of a pathological liar known as Jordon Maxwell. With this in mind it is highly recommended that you check out the following (especially "New Age Infiltration of the Truth Movement"):

good

food for thought!

We pretty much know the elite get their tacktics from the mystic

or occult religions, so they know how to even bring down miracles of deception..They also have professional head shrinkers, working constantly & getting paid for their expertise, while promoting the Elite agendas, daily..So naurally we are at some disadvantage humanly speaking..We need to sharpen our wits & our abilities to confront the mystic as well as the common realm..

There is an agenda since human creation..It is "of" a foreign, fallen entity..THE DESTROYER..

I don't quite follow you Impailed4u...

what is a "miracle of deception"?

what is your definition of a mystic?

what is it about mystics that needs to be confronted?

I appreciate your reply,

I have read all of it, and it seems to me, that you do not believe. Well, my life's experiences, compel me to believe and know, that everything we do, and everything we say in this life, is measured against (in real time) what the supreme spirit of the universe considers what is best for us.

I am 46 years old, and am just starting to understand life.

Perhaps you are younger or older, but respect the ways of others, respect first your own.

Peace.

Re: I appreciate your reply

SirFelix,

Thank you for acknowledging you have read my entire Secret debunked post - knowing that helps in some way.

What concerns me most is the number of people out there outside the truth movement who will request to be removed from mailing lists from truthers who of course have critical information which the world must know. In so many cases the reason for this tuning out is solely because they have been deceived or indoctrinated with the ideas presented in the Law of Attraction/The Secret.

So to the other poster who says there is no need to debunk "The Secret", may I suggest that indeed there is a HUGE need to debunk it. I would even suggest the possibility that "The Secret" may be NWO propaganda. Has anyone followed the money trail on this?

P.S. FYI I am close to your age

Rico, in the end people have to decide for themselves...

if "The Secret" is total trash or not. Either way, if people still want to believe in it, they have that right.

Depending on one's point of view, anything can be "debunked". We each have our own understandings of how things work and what particular words mean to us.

In some ways, whatever we believe, we will be right. We decide what we give power to.

I don't believe in Jesus, but if you do, there is real power in his name, for you use in your life.

I'd prefer people empower themselves using whatever tools work for them, the rest is semantics imo.

A man who has hate in his heart is not a free man

Re: in the end people have to decide for themselves...

OK, to clarify, my issue is not with freedom of choice to decide or discuss the validity of theories.

But this does NOT grant anyone any standing for representing a theory as valid prior to anyone having verified its validity above and beyond the placebo effect.

It's about granting power to yourself NOT to the NWO as you say,

The Secret is not the only answer but it can help people get closer to the truth even if it's not 100% accurate.

If the Secret is a gimmick, like you say, then people can discover that on their own...it doesn't need "debunking".

Do you not believe in the power within each one of us?

Have you heard of the "placebo effect"?

It's high time we get off our

It's high time we get off our asses and do something.

Love is a verb; without action, it is a meaningless word.

Energy is a property, not a "substance" you can "focus on".

Prayer is meaningless. God's will be done no matter what, and you're not going to change it by getting on your knees and closing your eyes.

Thinking positive is nonsense. We must think critically. The idea that we should dismiss every negative idea or thought is ludicrous because it forces us to dismiss half of reality.

It is what we strive for, what we work for, and what we build and produce that matters, not some superfluous "emotion" or a tingle in the belly. We are not a bunch of women. We are men, we are free men, and we are on the path to Godhood!

Don't waste your time kissing the ass of a false deity in hopes that he'll take pity on you! Realize that you ARE that deity in and of yourself!

--

"Of course I worship Lucifer. I am Lucifer!" -me

I am out of touch with most Americans precisely because I am not out of touch with reality.

Critical thinking & positive thought are not mutually exclusive

Life is more enjoyable when you are positive...the fact is that there is way too much good in the world to focus 100% on the bad.

There is power in our thoughts and everything *begins* with a thought. Usually action is required in some way. Our thoughts affect the chemical makeup of our bodies and the people around us. Is it so far fetched that we could collectively change the world for the better at least *partly* through our thoughts?

As far as praying that is really begging? -That will never work. You have to have certainty in whatever you believe for it to work...hopefully people will realize the power is within themselves so that they stop giving their power away, but I'm not holding my breath.

"The powers that be have us focused on negative energy and negative events."

I am not negative.

I am positive.

I am absolutely positive that it's going to get a hell of a lot worse before it ever gets better.

bigmikedude....

that is funny, thanks for the laugh, that was great. We can all wish our way to a better life, or something positive, but I will tell you one thing, if we do not get off our lazy asses and try, it will not happen. Stop waiting for God to do it, he expects you to use the talents that he has given you to make things happen for the good of all people - "his people". Stop waiting for others to take care of you, do what you all need to do to make yourselves happy, and self-sufficient. Do not wait for the government, or men to do it. God has given all us the means, and the know how to do it. There is no government in this freaking world that has authority over me, or my family, I am free, I am here, and making a modest contribution to this society, but there is no government that will tell me, or my family how to live. That is what we need to fight for, we need to fight big government, and the government here in the U.S. that is out of control.

Well Said CArealPatriot-

"There is no government in this freaking world that has authority over me, or my family, I am free, I am here, and making a modest contribution to this society, but there is no government that will tell me, or my family how to live."

Good luck with that...

A lot of spiritual people believe that evil will burn itself out. If it does, this will be the first time in recorded history it has happened.

I'll wait till 2012 before telling you that you are full of it. While Christians conveniently leave themselves an out ("Only God knows the day and time"), enough religions, philosophies and, even scientists predict 2011 to 2012. I've given more than a mustard seed of faith, so I feel fully justified to insist on a deadline.

I'm not the best bible christian...

but I do remember a phrase in the bible, in reference to lives will be spared the tribulation for the sake of the elect. I hope I didn't horribly butcher that up. But it's saying what all other prophets have said and that is, we have time to make this world a better place, before the real powers that be take over (God in this instance). Also there have been numerous messages, via apparitions, that we people of the world need to try and make things right, so we won't have to go through the worst of the tribulation. It's recorded in the apparitions at Medjugorje, Fatima, etc. So I believe that God is working through us with this movement (regardless of religious affiliation), to try and change the world and instill justice, for all the horrible atrocities that the Elite have been getting away with. So we are being empowered. Those Christian people that believe that it will "burn itself out", either have heard the message and are not taking action, or have not heard the message. And the message being that all of us in the world need to do something about the global problems, and get this world right. Not the Socialist Way, not the Communist Way, but the Liberty Way. I talk to people everyday, about different topics and we have good discussions on all of the topics that are discussed here on the DP. I kind of pick and choose which topics I think they might be interested in, and leave the one's out that they are not ready for. So I'm trying to do my part in planting the seed.

+...Pray for Your Enemies and Moral Courage for Righteous Leaders, so that Justice Will Be Delivered to the Innocent...+

the days of the tribulation

the days of the tribulation are cut short by God for the elects sake. For if those days were not cut short no flesh would survive.

"Ineptocracy: a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confisc

I'm not sure if they believe "evil will burn itself out"

That might be your understanding of their understanding, but many spiritual people don't even believe in "evil" and if they do, I've never heard anyone say they thought it would "burn itself out".

The point is, I believe, that we are way more powerful than we were led to believe. Our thoughts DO matter and it has been proven over and over again. Have you heard of the "placebo effect"? What we think directly affect our body's chemical make up and can affect others around us.
Is it so far fetched that we all could focus on the inherent good in the world and create an even better world through those thoughts and prayers?

There is Power in Jesus, Allah, God, You or what ever else you deem is powerful and you can make things happen in your own life. The power is already there, it's just waiting for you to give it to something. What do You give it to?

Whatever you believe, you have to enjoy life otherwise it can feel like it's "2012" everyday and no one deserves a life like that.

Yes, that's right...

and as another illustration, I'd like to submit something previously submitted by Habit4ming, I hope she doesn't mind! :) Such beautiful illustrations of our own personal power need to be repeated often:

... Every time I see a "end of the world due to oil leak"scenario thread, I have vowed to make this comment (my opinion/belief):
I will not give in to fear. This is too reminiscent of a recent
non-existent flu pandemic...
"...unimaginable environmental catastrophe..." is right. I IMAGINE
pristine waters and beaches. I envision people sunbathing, birds
flying, children swimming, dogs frolicking, dolphins leaping...
I really wish more of my brothers and sisters would realize that
everything is interconnected. Everything. Or for more of a "religious" flavor, "we" all came from God; "we're" all a little
piece of God. When "we" join forces, "we" become more and more powerful, like God. The more that join in, the more God-like power "we" have! Do you know that I was involved in a "water clean-up" project recently involving nothing more than people planet-wide focusing on
(specific) contaminated water becoming pure?! Guess what? It worked! So, imo, if "you" want to help, either volunteer services, pour hay/microbes into the water, pray...but especially envision the restoration of our water/beaches/wildlife. Don't you understand that if a majority of people envision "doom and gloom", that's what will happen? What do you think the purpose of fear-mongering is??? It's to
prevent "us" from having a better world! If "we" feed into the fear,
that's what "we" get! AND NOTHING CHANGES! If "we" feed into the positive, that's what "we" get. Be the change "you" wish to see; envision a better world and it is "ours"!!

great comment!

Some people would say hogwash, but I agree with you.

Have any of you heard about incurable cancers that were cured with the power of prayer?

The phenomenom is real in my mind.

Prayer and positive thinking are very powerful tools.

Most here, have heard of "The Secret".

The gist of it is that the Universe gives you what you ask for.

Deepak Chopra knows this as well. I respect him. He took a lot of flack for saying that the people wanted a boogie man like Sadam Hussein to wage war against. And basically he was right. Deep down inside people were sick of America bombing other countries, and were sick of commercialism, and sick of Big corporations and Big Banks, and sick of the outsourcing of jobs, and sick of greed, and in a sense wanted a catastrophe to happen to America. I believe he was right, others may disagree.

We sit and type and show others how smart we are, but we all, basically know very little, in comparison to all that there is to know.

We can only guess at what lies beyond our understanding, by clues we have personally witnessed during our own lifetimes. Therefore, the eldest amongst us have the potential to be the wisest.

Look to religious teachings or traditions or cultural customs that revere life and the respect that we should give to others.

Why you ask?

Because, thousands of years of knowing what is best for humanity, is more trustworthy that the current fly-by-night disrespectful attitude of an un-informed populace.

Ron Paul has inspired me to be a better man, because he has demonstrated integrity and principles all his life. And I believe that his principles are aligned with mine. The most important to me is personal liberty.
