Dancing in the Streets for Ron Paul

One of the other posters came up with this, so it's not my idea. But I think it's pretty cool.

If the MeetUp groups started holding block parties, with dancing in the streets, good music and happy goings-on, this could be a great thing for the RP Campaign.

Everybody likes to have fun, and fun of this kind is contagious ! People walking by would have to stop and see what was going on - maybe join the dance.

The poster also had the phrase "I'm switching brands!" - which is good and clever too.

If there could be a Day of Dancing for Ron Paul - across the country (and maybe the rest of the world too). Maybe New Year's Day?

Yes I know, in the snowy north this could present some challenges, but thousands of people go out and ice skate on cold days, so dancing isn't that much different.

I bet this could be great fun and attract some attention in the media and also raise a few more dollars for the campaign.

Missed the chance

It seems that Austin, TX's Ron Paul supporters missed their chance to dance:

iPod dance party lends something new to Capitol: actual fun

Schatz said she was disappointed that the people from the Ron Paul rally who marched down Congress on Sunday didn't join up with the dancers.

"We were hoping we'd get some of those folks out on the dance floor, too," she said. That's a scary thought: a Ron Paul supporter dancing.

Sounds good to me

My signature line says it all.

Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy. -Ron Paul 7/10/03

Sounds like a good outlet of

Sounds like a good outlet of energy for people with limited resources.

At least it's something that everyone can do to draw attention at the right time and place with appropriate taste of course.

Ron Paul's success is about speaking the truth not 'talking points'

Ron Paul Ball

Our meetup group is planning on being in Iowa over the New Year, as are hundreds of students and an estimated thousand plus volunteers, campaigning for Dr. Paul in the week before the caucus. As of yet, I haven't heard of any plans for Ron Paul supporters on New Year's Eve. Remember, tons of media will be in Iowa in the days before the caucus (Jan 3rd) and maybe a Ron Paul Ball (you can use that!) would be a great way to spread the message of peace, joy, unity and dancing to undecided Iowans. Anyone in Iowa have any ideas on organizing something like this?

Dancing in the Streets for Ron Paul

You were reading my Forum Topic! (Jealousy for RP) I TOTALY LOVE THE IDEA OF DANCING IN THE STREETS FOR RON PAUL PARTIES!

It does two key things:

1. Gives far better visibility - and nothing happens unless you have somebody's attention. So this is absolute vital.

2. It makes it communal, more friendly, less fear and brings everybody into it!

I love it!

Good idea

We did this all summer at fairs and festivals. However, now that there is snow on the ground and more coming, I think caroling is a better idea. ;-)

My meetup was thinking of

My meetup was thinking of Caroling for Paul, and handing out lit. We were going to go to stores and and homes.

"We," he exalted, "are building the wonders of this new world! The pyramids of our time!"
"Though," murmured Henrik, "the pyramids were no more than colossal tombs."

puppies for paul

We are searching for an official local Ron Paul puppy. Everyone loves puppies.

Fantastic Idea !

The Ron Paul Puppy idea is just great !

Put a little sign on him/her: Puppy for Ron Paul ! Then take the pup to the mall. Everyone will gather around to see the puppy. They are a people-magnet !

Wear a sweatshirt that says, "Another Puppy for Ron Paul." That will get them smiling.

Take a bunch of slim jims and be prepared to talk your head off.

This is a fantastic idea !

How about kittens, too

Kittens are cute, and have a fun independent streak,( like Ron Paul )
