The Dodd-Frank financial reform bill passed the House of Representatives today by the count of 237-192. Three Republicans broke ranks to support the final bill.
Earlier, Democrats beat back a Republican motion to recommit that would have added back Ron Paul’s “Audit the Fed” amendment and also created an “end user” exemption for margin and clearing requirements for their derivatives. That failed in the House by a count of 229-198.
I was surprised to read that Walter Jones voted for the bill. Hopefully he did not. Regardless If he voted for the bill or not he needs to clarity his position.
re-introduced in January 2011 when we have replaced 35-40 who voted against it.,..,

Dr. Paul's bill is going to either be watered down beyond effectiveness or put aside all together.
All this happy talk about support from hundreds of House members and several Senators is just that: Happy Talk. Nothing more.
Just like the bulk of the freedom movement.
We are NOT free anymore. Just look at one of your paystubs;
Immoral federal income tax.
Immoral Socialist Security tax
Immoral Medicare tax
Immoral Medicaid tax.
Look at your freedom flying away with each paycheck.
That was YOUR BLOOD and SWEAT and LIFE that you earned it with and off it goes to lazy bastards.
YOU ARE A WAGE SLAVE. NOT a FREE PERSON.
AND in my opinion NOTHING is going to change for the better.
A few liberty candidates winning is great and I have supported them with my own money.
But I'm losing hope of any REAL change.
It's a lot of fun being political and supporting liberty but...
WE AS A NATION HAVE FULLY SANCTIONED AND ARE UNQUESTIONABLY NOW "ON THE ROAD TO SERFDOM."

For an informed citizenry, individuals must discard the television set in favor of the acquisition of information via either books and/or the internet. An uneducated populous will remain in ignorance and thus continue to suffer the sharp ax of tyranny.

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow
Get in line....

Yes, we do need full audit
Yes, we do need full audit indeed.
Focus on auditing the Fed ... everything else is a distraction.
Ron Paul was on TV twice today
spreading his message. What did you do today?

2012 is the year for Ron Paul!
MSM Report: http://www.msmreport.com/
Firedoglake says Walter Jones broke ranks, but
the house roll-call says he voted for the recommitment of 1207 along with Ron Paul, so I think FDL got it wrong. Walter is a big RP supporter.
