Ballot Base calls it a day due to server issues

Dear Cynthia,

Despite great efforts from many activists, and probably due to those outstanding efforts, our system just didn't cut it today and was overwhelmed by the volume of callers.

I sincerely apologize to all of you who logged in to give this a shot and reach out to voters.

Unfortunately, our system couldn't handle the volume that we received and as a result, we wasted a few precious hours of your time.

This is entirely our fault and I'm really sorry that we've let you down.

We're going to go back and see what we can do to resolve this. Originally, we were going to keep the system open until 5 p.m. today but given the problems thus far, we're going to go ahead and shut it down.

I hope you'll give us another chance when we work out these issues.
